Riley the Artist

Wow, what a day. I had planned to make this post much earlier. We had a wonderful day with the kiddies at Hatfield House.. see pics below... I planned to get home about 4 but no... the M25 had other plans for us.. We sat for a good few hours on that lovely car park from hell! The house and gardens were so beautiful and the kids really enjoyed the tour of the house.

Well i'm here to show you a sneak peak from the new Hanna Stamps release on Monday - Artist Riley. My talented little moose is stamped in Memento and coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I just love this Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper and thought the paper went so well with this image. The sentiment was found recently in a bumper box I bought ages ago and is by K&Co. I used an SU ticket punch for the corners and added co-ordinating brads. I'm not too keen on the photo as I normally take them in natural light but this was taken quickly using the flash as it's late.

For all you Riley fans I had another delivery of Riley stamps yesterday including lots of great stamps for your Halloween and Christmas cards.

Be sure to visit the rest of the Hanna team at the links below. I'm of to visit now too. I can't wait to see their sneak peaks!

Stock update...

At long last the new Basic Grey Lemonade papers arrived today in the handy 6x6" pads. I am totally in love with these papers and a pad was removed immediately for my stash ;-)

Also arrived today are the Popcorn the Bear PC CD Rom's. These cd's are jammed packed with papers and projects to complement the Popcorn stamps.

Lastly to arrive were lots of new Martha Stewart punches.

Before I go I just had to show you this gorgeous card created by Lacey. These Ollyfant stamps are just so adorable and am going to have to pinch a couple of these for my stash too. Lacey has also used the beautiful looped ribbon, stocking charm and Tibetan silver spacer. I just adore your colouring Lacey!

Scrapmagasinet Challenge - Black & White

Our new challenge over at the Scrapmagasinet DT blog has just started and this challenge we are asking to see your Black and White creations. I won't lie and tell you I found this challenge easy as you know how much I love bright colours.

I couldn't wait to colour this image and I just love this characters attitude!  With her heart shaped lips she is also so cute!  This image is from the new Girl Power/Furriest Friends pre-order set.  This set is an amazing price for all the rubber you are getting and currently on special.

My image is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend.  I have also used a copic sketch marker for her skin tone.  The papers are from the DCWV La Creme stack.  This stack is gorgeous and there is so much strokeable texture.

I couldn't help myself and add a teeny weeny bit of colour to my card by adding the tag and heart brad ;-)

Hope you can play along too and don't forget that every challenge we have a great prize for one lucky player.

Be back again later today with my Spoon Full of Sugar card.

Hugs,

New rubber in da house!

Sparkle and Shine

Our challenge this Sunday over at the High Hopes blog is hosted by me! This week I am asking you to add a little sparkle to your cards. Straight away I thought I would do another Christmas card but then I found this cute little fellow - Party Cat and couldn't believe he was still uninked. I added my sparkle with stickles on his balloons and also the ribbon on his present. Some of my buttons are sparkly too. You could even pull out some sparkly paper, sparkly ribbon or any other sparkly embellishments you can find. Be sure to check out the blog for lots of inspiration from the rest of the team.

I have used the great sketch by Jacque over at the Friday Sketchers Challenge blog. Party cat is stamped in Memento and then coloured with Prismacolor pencils using sansodor and paper stumps for blending. The bright papers are from the new Basic Grey June Bug which I have also used with the purple paper from the Basic Grey Wisteria pad. The fabulous coloured buttons are from the Mardi Gras collection. I stamped the Party Animal sentiment direct onto my dp using Versafine Black Onyx.

By playing along with our challenge this week you have the chance to win the two stamps used on my card today.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Hugs

Ok.. and here is a little bit about my card. The adorable image is Mimosa with Teddybear. I have a great selection of these stamps over in my store. Mimosa is stamped in Memento ink and then coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The papers are a mixture of DCWV Garden Party and MME Bloom and Grow. The sweet flowers were sent to me by my dear friend Renata. The swirls have been created using a Sizzix die Flower w/Vine.. removing the flower. Hanna Stamps Friday Challenge

There is a great challenge over at the Hanna Stamps forum at SCS and this week Adela is asking us to make anything but a card. I made a little folder using Moni's Tutorial which I haven't made in a long time. They are so quick and easy to make using my handy scor-pal. This little folder is for Danni's Nursery Teacher Mrs Goddard. Inside is a bar of Thortons Chocolate and a gift card. Wow, where did her nursery year go and I can't believe she will be full days in September. Mrs Goddard is the most wonderful teacher and I remember oh so well being in tears at the end of the school year when Zoe left nursery five years ago. I know the same is going to happen again on Tuesday!

I have used School Riley which is stamped with Memento ink and coloured with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The paper is DCWV Grade School. I added some black raffia lace for some added texture.

If you have Hanna's or Riley's be sure to pull them out. Everyone who plays in our Hanna Stamps Friday Challenge during the current month has a chance to win a prize at the Hanna Stamps release party. If you don't own any and would like to play along be sure to check out my great selection here.

See you tomorrow for this weeks Spoon Full challenge.

Hugs,

High Hopes Challenge - Christmas in July

Hope your having a great Sunday! I'm back today for this weeks High Hopes challenge. Our wonderful Diva Divine Kimmie is asking us to create a Christmas card in July. I'm really thankful for this challenge as this is my 2nd Christmas card this year.... whoooopppsss I had better get a move on and start making a few more soon or it will become a headache like last year.

I had forgotten I had this stamp and this is Canadian Christmas Greetings. My image is stamped with Memento ink. Coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I added a little stickles for some extra Christmassy sparkle! The Basic Grey Figgy Puddy paper is quite fussy so kept the layout nice and simple and to keep the focus on my image. I have used SU corner rounder. The Holly leaves are by Prima and I improvised and added berry buttons. To finish I have added a little gold raffia bow for some fun texture.

Over the last couple of days I recieved some awards. The first is from Shirley and Fern.

Also the I received the above award from Joycelyn.

Thank you so much and you are so sweet to think of me. Be sure to check out these girls blogs as they are uber talented!!!

I hope you can join in our challenge this week and be sure to check out the awesome samples from the rest of the gang!

Have a great Sunday,

Big Hugs,

More goodies...

I just want to thank you for the sweet comments you left on Danni's card. She was so happy when I read them to her.

I'm back again to tell you about more goodies that arrived today. For all you Mimo and Mimosa fans I have lots more designs available as well as restocks of the popular Christmas stamps.

Card designed by Jacqui Dennis

I wanted to also show you the above gorgeous card created by Jacqui using the very sweet Mimosa Christmas Angel. Jacqui also used spacer beads and wreath charm which are also available in the store. I just adore Jacqui's colouring and pretty details.

Also the new Basic Grey June Bug 6 x 6 paper pads arrived. Lemonade should follow shortly.

Also I am so happy to stock the Ollyfant stamps. These are just so adorable and hope to have some card samples to show you from myself and the team soon.

I have also been receiving inquiries regarding the new High Hopes stamps. Yes, I will be stocking them! They should be here around mid-week next week. My DT package also got lost on route as I know some of you are wondering why I haven't been showing sample cards with the new stamps. As soon as they do arrive I will be here to let you know!
