Cute as can bee!

For our new challenge over at the High Hopes blog our talented Diva Niki is asking us to have no corners on our cards. I rounded the edges of my card using an SU Corner rounder punch. You can always get out your nesties for some fun shaped cards!

The cute as can bee image is High Hopes Sitting Bee. I figured her antenna's would be hard to cut out. I didn't have any wire and didn't have time to pop to the craft store so created her Antenna's by lightly coiling and gluing some black waxed cotton.

The fabulous bright paper is by Prima Marketing and is called My Mommy and Me. Thank you Stephanie for sending me this fabulous bright kit which also included the huge blooms! I twisted some ribbon to create a stem and added the sentiment leaves using my SU Word window punch. The sentiment was created in word then printed direct onto my cardstock.

The gorgeous fimo button was also from my friend Stephanie. I added a little fibre to the bottom of my card to create the effect of grass and to cover up the bottom of the ribbon. To finish I added a tiny blue gem to the centre of her bow and also a tiny heart to her shoe.

Sitting Bee was coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend.

I hope you can play along with our challenge this week and remember that every challenge one lucky player is randomly chosen to win a yummy stamp prize!

Have a great Sunday!

Hanna Stamps Friday SCS Challenge

Today over at the Hanna Stamps SCS Forum a new Friday challenge has just started. Frances has given us the below great sketch to follow.

I've had this cute Laundry Riley for a little while now and thought it was about time I inked him up! The dp used on my card is DCWV Citrus. I chalked around the sentiment and also the image in co-ordinating VersaMagic chalks. My sentiment was printed direct onto my dp from Word. Riley is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps for blending.

A nice short post this evening ;-) It's been a busy week with the girls being on half term but I will be attacking my google reader this evening and looking forward to seeing what you have created. Wishing you a wonderful weekend and I hope it's sunny where you are! My girls are hoping it's beautiful again tomorrow so they can get their paddling pool out.

See you Sunday for the next High Hopes challenge.

Candy time! - NOW CLOSED!

I found some time today and here is my card for this weeks High Hopes challenge where our wonderful guest Tab is asking us to use the yummy colour scheme Pink and Brown. You still have plenty of time to join in and our new challenge doesn't start until Sunday! Don't forget that each week a lucky player will win a stamp and matching sentiment!

I pulled out various papers from my Basic Grey pads. Sweet Tidy up Tillie is coloured with a mix of copic sketch markers and prismacolor pencils with Sansodor and paper stump for blending. The sentiment is also High Hopes. The right hand corner looked a little naked when I had finished my card so I added a large co-ordinating button with a little waxed cotton bow. All my edges have been chalked with VersaMagic Jumbo Java for an aged effect.

Ok... now for a little candy :-) ...... my candy is to celebrate recently hitting 100,000 hits and also the launch of my Etsy store. Tina the owner of High Hopes very generously added two extra stamps for candy in my last DT package so the lucky winner will receive the stamp on my card - Tidy up Tillie and also Girl Talk. I will also be adding some jute ribbon in various colours, 25 double daisy spacer beads and some gorgeous flowers which will be arriving in my store in the next couple of days.

What do you have to do to enter my candy? Simply leave a comment on this post. Even if you don't have a blog you can still join in and leave your name on an anonymous post :-) Please help spread the word about my candy by telling your friends. Maybe if you are not a follower you would like to follow me too ;-)

The candy will close on Saturday 6th June and will be announced on Sunday 7th June.

Good Luck!

Hugs,

Scrapmagasinet DT Challenge - Thank You!

For our challenge this week over at the Scrapmagasinet DT blog we are asking you to create a thank you card. As with all our challenges at Scrapmagasinet one lucky player will have the chance to win $250 NOK stamps!

I have used the fun character Roar med blomster. He is available to buy singularly or as part of a set called Gamlinger which has lots of other fun characters.

The papers I have used on my card are Basic Grey Lime Rickey. I have distressed the edges using a Heidi Swap edge distresser tool. My image is coloured with a mixture of copic sketch markers and Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. To finish my card I added co-ordinating Jute ribbon, brads, buttons with waxed cotton. I can't remember where my sentiment came from but I think it may have been from a 99p Studio G set.

Hope you get time to join in! If you don't have any Scrapmagasinet stamps don't forget I have some great deals on Grab bags right now over in my Etsy store.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Lace

For our challenge this week over A Spoon Full of Sugar we are asking you to use lace on your cards. If you do not have any lace you are welcome to use a lace effect punch. It is worth checking to see if your local market has a haberdashery stall. This is where I buy mine cheaply.

On my card today I have used the cute Nutshell image Hazel. She is coloured with a mix of copic sketch markers and prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps for blending. I have paper pieced her little dress. The gorgeous papers are from the Basic Grey Wisteria pad. I printed the sentiment from word direct onto my dp. My flowers are Prima Hydrangea. I added brads and spacers to my flower centres. I have these spacer beads for sale over in my Etsy Store.

Also for anyone who missed my post on Friday their is a DT Call over at the Nutshells blog. Be sure to check out the candy too!

Our sponsor this week is Stampavie. They have kindly given us the two below Leere Aldrich stamps for one lucky player. Not only that there will be a few surprise craft items in your package too! Thank you Michelle for arranging this fantastic prize!

Our wonderful guest this week is Sandra MacLean. Be sure to visit Sandra over at her blog to admire her card for our challenge - it's breathtaking!

Before I go I would like to thank the very talented Lena for the above cute award.

I also wanted to show you this picture of my cute kitties. After having Bella now for just over 5 weeks this is the first time they have cuddled together this closely and the first time Gemma has show Bella some love.

Stamp with Fun - Guest Designer

I was very excited when my friends Agnes and Jacqueline emailed a couple of weeks ago to ask if I would like to be a guest designer for challenge blog Stamp with fun. Thank you so much girls for asking me! I was asked to create a sketch and below is what I came up with. If this challenge blog is new to you be sure to check it out. As the title says "Stamp with fun" so you can use any cute stamps you have for their challenge. No excuses not to join in ;-)

I just love this High Hopes stamp I have used on my card today and this sweet lady is called Mildred. The sentiment is also High Hopes. I knew these new DCWV Nana's Kitchen papers would be just perfect to use too. I have used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch and also added more texture to my card using the Jute ribbon. You can find this ribbon in some great colours in my store. My image is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps for blending. The paper is sparkly so I also added a little stickles to Mildred's oven gloves too. I added a flower, button embellishment and little bow using pink waxed cotton cord to the centre of my button.

My Etsy store is also sponsoring this challenge and one lucky player will win the cute Rakle stamp pictured below. I currently have Scrapmagasinet Grab Bags in my store. These bags are amazing value for money so won't be around for long and are limited in numbers!

I can't wait to pop on over to the challenge blog now to check out the DT cards.

Have a great Monday!

Graduation Hanna

This weeks challenge HSC70 over at the Hanna Stamps forum on SCS Amanda is asking us to use Rust, Coral and whte/cream. I thought this was going to be a difficult one but found the rust coloured dp amongst my papers. It is paper I bought last year from SU. I was also lucky that I had the SU Coral ribbon. If you don't have the SU colours don't worry and you can just match them up as best as you can with cardstock/papers you already have. This cute image is from the new release set Graduation Hanna. I just love Hanna and she has such a pretty face.

My image is coloured with Prismacolour pencils with Sansodor and paper stumps for blending. To finish my card I looked through my stash for co-ordinating flowers and buttons. This isn't a colour combo I would have normally chosen but love how it turned out and was use it again.

Have a wonderful evening and great Sunday and i'll be back now Monday. We're off to Paradise Wildlife Park tomorrow and it's predicted to be another glorious day.

Hugs,

My Etsy News!

I have some exciting NEWS to share today! I will now be stocking Scrapmagasinet stamps in my Etsy Store! If there are any stamps you wish to order but cannot find in my store please contact me. While your visiting my store please add me to your favourites as I hope to bring lots more exciting products over the coming months.

It's mice being friends with you!

These cute little mice are from a new set from Scrapmagasinet called 106 Muse. This little set is just bursting with cuteness. I have only used one image from this set but have stamped the little girl mouse and then masked her to stamp her little friend beside her. I created the sentiment in MS word. The gorgeous papers are DCWV Citrus. I've been trying to get these papers now for about a month as I love their zesty colours. I have found a store in the UK which sells the DCWV papers in half stack with one of each 12" x 12" design. Half the stack - Half the price so you can buy more papers from the rest of the new DCWV range ;-). I have ordered twice now from Craftie Charlie and found their service excellent.

My sweet little mice are coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stamps for blending. I added a little stickles to their bows as there is also glitter on the papers. I've added some Sisal Ribbon to my card to add more fun texture. I have a great selection of Jute and Sisal Ribbon in my Etsy store in lots of gorgeous colours.

Before I go I thought I would leave you with a few more Danni and Bella photo's. Here you can see they are having fun playing babies! Ok you guys are probably thinking our poor kitten is being tortured but I think Bella does enjoy all the attention!

I'm sorry i've been neglecting you all over the last two days but it's taken so much time to sort out my store. I will be round to visit you to see what you have been creating later today :-)

Hugs,
