High Hopes Jungle Scene

Stamps used for this scene - High Hopes Frances Owl, Timothy Tiger, Elmer Elephant, Camilla Gorilla and Jungle Leaves Corner. I would like to thank Ila for her wonderful tutorials and advice on creating backgrounds. I used Stamping up ink pads and gently stippled the ink to create the sky and grass. You need to first stipple onto a piece of paper first to take off some of the ink from your brush. The effect will then be more subtle. Ink Pads used: Bashful Blue and Garden Green. I then stamped the background with the Jungle corner leaves stamp so they would appear behind the characters. The characters were coloured using my prisma pencils with the use of sansador and paper stump for blending. I then cut round them with a craft knife and added them to the scene. I also used a Sakura stardust pen to add sparkle to the gorilla's eyes, flowers and leaves. The letters are from K&Company and I punched a hole in them to thread them on the vine like fibre. I then made little party hats for them with scraps and added fibres again for tassles. The fibres were sent to me from my very kind friend Lim. Other accessories used - red brads. Card stock used: Bazzil. I had great fun making this card and hope you like it.
