Scrapmagasinet Reader Challenge

Our new Reader challenge has just started over at the Scrapmagasinet DT blog and this challenge we are asking you to shabby up your cards. Don't forget that each challenge we have a great prize for one lucky player! Be sure to pop over to the blog to see the gorgeous creations from the team.

For my card today I have used this beautiful image Dans sett. She is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps for blending. I have added a little stickles to the edge of her dress and some tiny pearls to her waist band.

The sentiment is K&Co and was from a huge selection of sentiments and letterings which I purchased from QVC last year. I have given my card an aged feel by using VersaMagic Jumbo Java chalk ink on the edges of my paper, leaves and image. I also used my Heidi Swapp edge distresser on the papers. This effect can easily be achieved with scissors or a craft knife. The pretty butterfly paper is by Laura Ashley. The flowers are Prima Hydrangea and the leaves cut from L-Em Leaf punch.

Before I go I would like to thank Clare and Alex for the above award which I received earlier in the week. Thanks for making me smile!

Also don't forget that there is still time to enter the Scrapmagasinet blog candy!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 49 "Blue and Green"

I just want to say huge thank you for all your messages and emails of support. They really do mean so much! We are feeling positive today and am sure that there is something better waiting around the corner for our family.

Just a quick post today... so here is my card for this weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge where we are asking you to use the colour scheme Blue and Green. The cute stamp is by Alota Rubber Stamps and is called Girl with Cat. I love this sentiment too which is also by Alota.

We have a great prize this week of the below two cute stamps which have very kindly been donated by Helene from Alota Rubber Stamps.

Also our wonderful Guest Designer this week is Steph. Be sure to pop over and visit Steph to see her gorgeous card.

Before I go I just wanted to show you some new pictures of Bella. As you can see she looks more content now and not quite so startled as in my first picture I showed you Saturday! The kids are having so much fun with her and to be honest I am glad we got her as it is keeping their minds on fun things.

Well it looks like it's going to be a gorgeous bright day here in the UK, so off to hang my washing out!

Bad News..

I just wanted to let you know that I am having a little time out. If emailing I may take a little longer than usual to get back to you. Unfortunately our news re: Gary's job today wasn't good and he lost his job. As you can probably imagine my mind is on other things right now. I have a few things I will post over the next few days for challenges which I have already created.

High Hopes Challenge 28 - Thinking outside the card!

For our new challenge over at the High Hopes blog our talented Diva Amy is asking us to create anything but not a card. Be sure to check out the High Hopes blog to see all the wonderful creations from the DT this week for inspiration.

I've picked up various sized little notepads in the sales overtime and just love to give these as little gifts for Zoe's friends. This one I have decorated using the adorable image Crissy's Snuggle Bear. My image is coloured with Prismacolour pencils with sansodor and paper stumps for blending. I have added a little stickles sparkle to the edge of Crissy's blankie. I couldn't resist adding this bow to my bear and even though a tad bigger than I would have liked... I think it looks cute! I cut the circle using my nestabilities and then took the edging off to a line it with the edge of the book. The paper is Imaganisce - Fairest of them all and the chipboard lettering is K&Co Sparkly Sweet. I added the little clock charm on a length of fibre and thought that this could also be used for inside the notebook for bookmarking pages. I added tons of ribbons and once finished couldn't help but think they reminded me of rags that you could tie in your hair for bedtime.

Hope you get time to join in our challenge and don't forget that each challenge taking part you have the chance to win some HH rubber. Who could resisit!

Be back very soon with the winner of my Danni Dress-up Candy winner.

Have a great Sunday!

Thank you Kelly and our new family member!

Thank you to my friend Kelly for this gorgeous card which arrived Friday for Danni. Thank you so much sweetie and your creation is so pretty! Danni also loved her gifts.

I would like to also introduce you to our new family member Bella. Bella came to live with our family today and is 8 weeks old. She is a very cute Bengal cross.

This picture of Zoe and our cat Gemma was also taken this afternoon and as you can see Gemma doesn't seem too bothered by our newest family member.

Have a great evening and see you in the morning.

I like your style!

There is a great sketch over at new challenge blog Stamp with Fun which has been created by the lovely Marlene. Thanks Marlene and the sketch was fun to work with. The image on my card today is Scrapmagasinet Rakle. I just love this trendy young girl and just perfect for teen cards. The sentiment Like your style is by High Hopes. Have you guessed which papers I have used..? Yeah I know.. too predictable and once again MME Magnolia. There is such a great variety of colours in this huge pad and such fun summery colours too. Image coloured with Prisma colour pencils with sansodor and paper stumps for blending.

Do you like my personlised stamp? Lisbet the owner of Scrapmagasinet created this one for me :-) If you want to win your own check this post out!
Nestabilities used on the back of my card are labels one and scalloped circles.

Wow, I can't believe it's already Friday. I want to thank you all for the messages re: Gary's work situation. He had his interview on Tuesday which he said went ok. We was hoping to find out the results yesterday but now his Manager has said that we have to wait until one day next week. Talk about keeping ya dangling! I'll keep you posted!

Thank you for all the wonderful comments left on my PCS work over the last couple of days. Sorry if I haven't been to visit your blog in the last few days but hope to get some time this evening when the kiddies are in bed.

See you Sunday for the next High Hopes challenge.

PCS Lily at the Beach - Release Day!

Yay!... it's release day and these summer lovelies are now available to buy in the Pink Cat Store. These little cuties would sure brighten anyones day whether for a birthday greeting, to cheer up a friend or a card just to say "hi". Here is the set in it's entirety:

To see how I created my little nestie card you can see my previous tutorial here. For this card I have used labels one for the main shape and also the oval die for my image but the principle is the same.

The papers are again from the MME Magnolia collection... I know I will try to use some different papers soon ;-) but I did buy 180 sheets of them! lol

The flowers are Prima Hydrangeas, ribbon was free with a magazine and the cute little sun brad I bought from Ebay some time ago. Image coloured with Prisma colour pencils with sansodor and paper stumps for blending. I have added a little sakura stardust to Lily's mask but this is not showing well in the photo.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my sneak peaks and don't forget that in my first post is the links to my fabulous team members.

PCS Lily at the Beach - Sneak Peaks Day 2

Another gorgeous Lily to share with you today. Isn't she beautiful with her long flowing hair? Mermaid Lily has been coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I have also added some stickles for some added sparkle. The papers are from the Sunshine paper pad by Me and My Big Idea's. I cut them out to create this wavy effect and added fibres for some fun texture. The cute little fimo buttons were from my friend Stephanie. I embossed the below panel of cardstock with CB folder spots and dots.

Could this sentiment not be anymore perfect for this Lily?
Don't forget to check out the links on my previous post to all of my wonderful team members blogs.

See you tomorrow for one final sneak and to reveal the complete set!

PCS Lily at the Beach - Sneak Peaks Day 1

Today is sneak peak day 1 of the new Lily at the Beach set. This new stamp set will be available at the Pink Cat Studio store this Thursday, 23 April. Today I am sharing with you two images from this summer fun set. My first card is for A Spoon Full of Sugar and today we have the below fabulous sketch from our designer Caryn. Thank you Caryn and it was a fun sketch to work with!
We have a great prize this week of the below cute Rachelle Anne Miller stamp from Stampavie called 'Hoppy Spring'. This has been kindly donated by Colette and Katie at Nutcrafters.
The papers on my card are MME and part of the Magnolia collection. The flowers were sent to me from my friend Heidi, the ribbon free from a magazine and the buttons in my stash. I added a mini prima flower and gem to Lily's hat.

My second project today is a little purse I made using a fantastic tutorial over at Anita's blog. If you haven't visited Anita's blog before it is a must especially if you are a Hanglar fan! This was so fun and easy to make and the main die shape is a Big Shot top note die.

A huge thank you!

We have been so lucky and over the last two weeks have received some gorgeous cards from our friends.

This cute card is from Stephanie. Stephanie also sent me some of her gorgeous fimo buttons which I love.

This beautiful card is from my friend Jill. She is such a sweetie and sent me a little RAK of BG Paper, flowers and pearls to cheer me up a few weeks ago.

This gorgeous easter card was sent to me from my dear friend Christelle. She also made these gorgeous little boxes for the girls. Thank you!

The following wonderful cards were sent to my daughter Danni who was 4 a couple of weeks ago. Thank you so much and she was just thrilled to have her own cards arrive like Mummy and her big sister Zoe.

See you tomorrow with my first sneak peaks for Pink Cat Studio.
