Ismaki Challenge 21 - High Hopes Leilani

This cute little stamp is from High Hopes and is called Leilani. This is one of many gorgeous High Hope stamps available at Silly Monkey Crafts. The paper is from a pack called Retro Floral by Dovecraft and were just perfect to go with this stamp. The button brads are by Making Memories. I coloured this image with my Copics. I cut the layout and letters using my Cricut Expression. This card has been made for the Ismaki Challenge 21 which has the great sketch below from guest DT Claudia. Hope you like it.

High Hopes Tea Angels

Zoe and I received these gorgeous folders containing lots of lovely stamped images on Saturday from the very kind Debbie and Hannah. I loved them so much that they inspired me to make one too.

The gorgeous High Hope stamp "Tea Angels" was sent to me in my DT Kit from Silly Monkey Crafts and is one I have wanted for a while - thank you Bryony. The beautiful papers are from the Cherry Arte - Kitty Lou Range. I coloured with my Prismacolor Pencils with Sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I also used my Sakura pens for the angels wings but am unhappy because it didn't photo well and in real life you can see the detail on their wings.

Folder Instructions
The folder is made by cutting a piece of 12" x 12" cardstock in half. Then starting at one end score in 3 places for the folds. Approx. 2.75" for the bottom, 4.5" for the back and 2.75" for the top flap. Cut off the excess strip and use this to make the two sides. For the sides just cut the remainder scrap in half. Fold and score each in half then each section in half again folding the opposite way to the first fold. Once they are concertinered you will need to cut them down to size before gluing as they will be too long and will be visible when the folder is open. Now glue into place. I hope this helps and that my instructions are clear.

I had this handmade stamp made before I went on holiday by ebay seller creatnstamps. She did a fantastic job and I have had a couple made for friends as they make fantastic gifts.

I've been Tagged!

I've been tagged by Rach... here are the rules.

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

1)TEN YEARS AGO

It is our 10th Wedding Anniversary on the 5th June so 10 years ago we would have been making the final preparations for our Wedding.

2)5 THINGS IN TODAYS "TO DO" LIST - (It's late so I will put tomorrow's)

1- Go to the post office as I have lots of swaps to send out.
2- Tidy my house as my friend is coming on Wednesday and her house is always immaculate.
3- Do some ironing (I say this everyday.. so we'll see!)
4- Take Zoe to the dentist... expecting tears.
5- Continue working on some more projects for my Silly Monkey DT post

3)SNACKS I ENJOY
I love sweet and savoury foods so when it comes to snacking i'm not fussy!

4)THINGS I WOULD DO IF I WAS A MILLIONAIRE
Make sure all of my family were comfortable. Gary would love to retire early as like most hates work. Buy a holiday home in Florida and a nice big house in England with room for crafting space.

5)PLACES I HAVE LIVED
Margate, Kent which is where I was born.
Edgeware, London when I was a toddler.
Banbury, Oxon for about 6 years to the age of 11

Cute Card Thursday - Hanglar Fiskekille

Here is my card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday. I am so pleased with how this card came together and it has been made for my FIL for Father's Day. This weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge is to make a card using Katharina's fantastic sketch - see below. I have used my Hanglar Fisher boy Fiskekille. It is coloured using my Prismacolours pencils with use of Sansodor and paper stumps to blend. Used my Sakura Stardust pen to add a bit of shimmer to the fishy scales. The Fishy paper is by Provo Craft. The Bazzill has been embossed with Cuttlebug folder Spots and Dots. I used my nestabilites to cut the oval and scalloped oval shapes. The little fish sentiments were cut using my Cricut Expression and distressed with Versamagic. The sentiment was then handwritten. Other accessories: brad and fibre for seaweed. The ribbon and scalloped edging were from this months kit at Rebecca's Scrapbooking Stash. Hope you like it.

Wishing all my blogging friends a great weekend,
Hugs,

Nestabilities
I have been asked a few questions about Spellbinders nestabilities and thought this may help. I buy mine from a US company called Cut @ Home. If you register with them they will send you a 40% off voucher once a month, which is good for one item. They sell sets of four nestabilities and this is classed as one item. Including postage this will come to just over £30 including shipping. I was lucky in that I did not incur customs charges as they marked the package a low value. Don't forget to put the offer code in the notes entry and they will adjust you balance later and confirm this by email. I can fit a set of four nestie’s nicely in a cd jewel case to store. Hope this helps.

Magnolia Spring Club Tilda - Ismaki Week 20

I followed this weeks Ismaki Sketch Week 20. The inspiration for this card came from Stephanie who does the most wonderful bright work which I totally love. This Tilda was from the Magnolia Spring club kit and was coloured using my Prismacolor pencils with use of sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The paper is from a pad called Sunshine and is made by Me and My Big Idea's. The ribbon and bloom is from Rebecca's Scrapbook kit. The sentiment is from an embellishment pack I found in Tesco. The butterfly stamp is from a Studio G set. The Circle and Scalloped Circle cut using nestabilities.

We're Back!

We are home and totally jet lagged but had a fantastic holiday. We don't believe anyone who says the weather was great here in England while we were away and arrived to fog and rain ;-) The weather in Florida was in the high 80's early 90's and we didn't have any rain. It was a great time to visit and the Parks were very quiet and could walk on most rides. We loved the Villa so much that we have booked to go back again next year for 3 weeks in October. Have missed all my blogging friends and will be back around Tuesday with a new card. Here are a few photo's for you.

Hugs,

My poor little princess Danni had to visit the Dr's twice in the last couple of days as she got an ear infection and to top it off got bitten by a bug on her hand and had a bad reaction. The tiny bite spread to 2 x 4 cm in size in a couple of days and took over her tiny little hand. She is on antibiotics now and it getting much better.

The girls having a great time together in the pool at our villa.

This picture was taken for you Heidi. It was taken at Epcot in Norway which is one of the World Showcases. Epcot was so beautiful as they had the annual Flower and Garden Festival.

Had a great time in Michaels and JoAnn's and I would like to thank my friend Lim for her advice on finding the 40% and 50% off coupons in the Orlando Sentinel paper on Sunday. Also worth having a look in the Target stores as they have a small range of craft products too.
