Copic Classes

I would love to start using my copic markers but they do intimidate me. I just adore the results that can be achieved with the marker. Does anyone know of any classes here in the UK? I based in Essex but am willing to travel :-) If not... can you recommend an online class? Do you have any tips to share on the best cardstock/blenders etc... maybe links to inspirational online tutorials etc.

I would love to hear from you :-) Please leave a comment on this post or email me direct nichola.fairbairn@googlemail.com

Hi Nikki :-) I have just done an online copics course at http://www.mycreativeclassroom.com/

I found it very good, Colleen is really helpful and gives good advice :-) everything is explained clearly with lots of video's and she is there to answer any questions but the best part was uploading photo's and she would advise you on how to improve it:-)

Nikki, you amaze me babes, I just can't imagine you being intimidated by anything - let alone a marker pen! Can't really help with the techniques as I'm still at the beginner stage but as for paper card I'd say Bristol Board or Rymans own 200gsm coated cardstock. Hugs, Squirrel xx

Hi Nikki - I came across this lady at the Exeter craft fair, but I wasn't able to sign up for the course with the wedding being so close. Also, I'm more interested in the colouring with the sketch markers, I know they are the same ink but somehow I find them different. It is practice and looking at lots of on-line tutorials can certainly help - but really, you just have to play!
I've been playing with my Pro and copics today along with pencils, with the new stamps you sent .. .. great fun when I should be doing other stuff!
hugs, annie x

PS: I love my copics and have just purchased some more, would love the sketch ones but as they are more than double the price will stick with the ciao markers lol - have fun

When I was learning, I watched quite a few videos on you tube. There are many free ones with lots of information. Your coloring is always gorgeous and I can't wait to see what you do with the copic markers!

Again, check out Suzanne Dean's copic classes on line. To get a taste she used to have tutorials on her blog at Scrapbitz.blogspot.com but I think she has removed them now in lieu of online classes. You can still access them on You tube. I just went to Google and typed in You Tube Copic Tutorials and got right to them. I find her videos very good. Good luck. Darla

Hi again, Actually I went to You Tube again and her tutorials are there but they don't seem to be loading - maybe they have been removed. Google search - You Tube Copic Tutorials??? Darla again. I'm sure her online class will be great. I have really enjoyed her videos so far - well done, good explaining.

If you find one please let me know I only only live a couple of miles from you so would be very interested to know if one is local as I can't drive far by myself because of my CFS.
