Wags 'n Whiskers Let's Play - Sneak Peek Day 1

Are you ready for some Sneak Peeks?! We are so excited about our new release on Friday and at last today we can share the images with you :-)

We have 8 fun Sport themed stamps designed by our talented artist Cris de Lara.

This fabulous gal on my card today is called Water Babe. I think she has to be my favourite image from the new release and I just love her pose. Ok, I am getting brave and she is coloured with Copic markers. I did also add a little prisma pencil once finished to enhance the highlights and shadows. I also used the copic blender pen. I would like to thank Maddy for sharing all her tips with me and for giving me the confidence to give them a bash!

Wow, aren't these papers awesome...? They are from the new Bo Bunny Flower Girl collection. I just love their vibrancy! I sell the complete set of these papers over in my store. Thank you to my dear friend Maria for sending me the punch which was perfect as it reminded me of waves. To finish I have added some fat 8mm Flat back pearls and also iridescent pearls.

I didn't manage to get a card made in time for our challenge last Friday but had to use Tina's fabulous sketch. Our current challenge will remain open until our new challenge on 9th April so you still have lots of time to play along!

The below wonderful Design Divas have sneak peeks to show you today.... You will notice that we have a new guest Diva - Debbie playing along with us while Jacqui takes a little break.

Make sure to check back tomorrow, too for even more sneak peeks!! Let' Play will be released Friday 2nd April at 7amEST/12:00pmGMT.

If you haven't already please help as spread the word by grabbing the badge from the Wags 'n Whiskers blog. Be sure to leave your details to be entered into the drawing to win the full release!!!

See you tomorrow!

High Hopes Challenge - Little Gem

Happy Sunday! This weeks High Hopes challenge is hosted by me :-) My challenge is called Little Gem and I would simply love to see gems or pearls used on your cards or paper projects.

You could add some to the corners of your cards or you can see on the High Hopes blog that some of our Diva's have got very creative!

Remember to enter our challenges you need to use High Hopes Rubber Stamps!!!

The random winner of this challenge will receive the below stamp - Bubble Bath Bradley. You just have to see Melanie's fabulous card using Bradley this week!

Now a little about my card.... the fun image is called Alien Intrigue. I cannot take credit for adding the little gem under his Magnifying stand.. this was my hubbies idea!

My Alien Intrigue is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I did colour this little guy with copics but am not brave enough to show you this version... still some more practice with my blending!

I have used the fabulous sketch from Friday Sketchers. The Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride papers are just perfect for this stamp don't you think? Again it was my clever hubbie who spotted the molecule design while I was flicking through my pad! The sentiment is also High Hopes and to finish have added... yes, more gems!

Hope you can play along with us this week and be sure to check out the fabulous samples from the rest of the gang! If you are looking to purchase High Hopes stamps to play along be sure to check out the selection I have over in my store.

Have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs,

High Hopes Challenge - Hoppy Easter

Wow, can you believe it is Sunday already? Time for a new High Hopes challenge :-) My talented friend Lacey has a great seasonal challenge called Hoppy Easter.

Lacey would like you to get creating with anything that hops. If you don't have any HH Bunnies or the fun bunny ears used by some of our creative Divas below we would love to see your Spring themed cards or paper projects. As you can see I went with the Spring option!

The random winner of this challenge will receive the below cute stamp - Busy Mama. How sweet are those little bunny babies!

Ok... so now a little about my card. I have used the sweet stamp Sm. Easter Chickadee. I had lots of fun yesterday playing with my new Copic Ciao's. I love them... they just don't love me yet! lol I have lots of practicing ahead so will be honest and say I am not too happy with my colouring here! I couldn't get her cheeks right so did go over with my Prisma pencil after to give her a rosy glow! I can't wait to play more!

Most of the papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Material girl 6x6" paper pad apart from the nestie label which was some left over K&Company. Other products used : Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch, some gorgeous organza ribbon, new pins and also some pretty Prima mini roses. I also added a little stickles sparkle to her bow. My cute little bow was created using the bow-easy and I have more of these arriving in stock again this week. I have to say I am so impressed with this little tool and you may notice that I don't very often put bows on my cards... so you will be seeing lots more in future!

I have used the fabulous sketch from Sketch Saturday (love their sketches!) which is sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Crafts this week. Be sure to pop on over, grab the sketch and join in! You have the chance to win the Kimmie stamp Angry Ballerina and a selection of pins!

Yet another party today, this time the girls cousin Millie. Danni and I are off to town in a mo as I have promised her a new frock! Little Danni is such a girlie girl unlike Zoe who love her legging and t-shirts!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Easter

Our new challenge has just started over at A Spoon Full of Sugar and this week my talented friend Debbie is asking us to make an Easter card. My card isn't quite a traditional Easter card but hey... I do have a bunny on my card and a cute bunny sentiment! :-)

The adorable image on my card is called Puddle Jumpers Emma. These are cute new stamps designed by Lori Boyd. I am so excited to be carrying these stamps in my store. Each stamp comes with their own little friend and is Pre-mounted on Cling. I have once again used the new Basic Grey Green at Heart.. ok I promise to put them away now. I think you might have guessed that I really love the colours in this paper pack! I have added some gorgeous new Organza ribbon in Lime, flat back pearls to the centres of the hydrangea flowers and also top right corner.

I also used the fabulous sketch below from Friday Sketchers this week. Thanks Jacque!

Before I go I just want to thank all you wonderful peeps who left a messages on my copic post below :-) I really appreciate all the links and tips!

Copic Classes

I would love to start using my copic markers but they do intimidate me. I just adore the results that can be achieved with the marker. Does anyone know of any classes here in the UK? I based in Essex but am willing to travel :-) If not... can you recommend an online class? Do you have any tips to share on the best cardstock/blenders etc... maybe links to inspirational online tutorials etc.

I would love to hear from you :-) Please leave a comment on this post or email me direct nichola.fairbairn@googlemail.com

High Hopes Challenge - Flutterbys

Happy Mothering Sunday to all Mum's in the UK and Ireland. Hope you have a wonderful relaxing day and are spoiled rotten!

This week over at the High Hopes blog our wonderful Diva Amy L has a fun challenge called Flutterbys. Basically Amy would like to see our cards or creations using our winged friends - butterflies, bees, birds, ladybugs, dragons, angels, fairies etc... check out the High Hopes blog for inspiration and you will even find a flying monkey!!!! Yep.. you heard that right! lol.

Remember to enter our challenges you need to use High Hopes Rubber Stamps!!!

The random winner of this challenge will receive the below stamp - Bunny Masterpiece.

For my card this week I have inked up this cute stamp Lily Spring Fairy. Lily has been coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I also added a little stardust stickles to the leaves on her outfit and LOTS of stickles to the Hyndrangea flower. Again I have used the beautiful springy papers from the Basic Grey Green at Heart paper pad. The butterflies have been cut from the Martha Stewart Classic butterfly punch. My favourite flat back pearls added to the butterflies bodies and flower center to finish.

I used a great sketch from Week 10 over at the Create4fun Challenge blog. Love all the layering on this one!

If you want to play along and are looking to add some High Hopes stamps to your collection I have a fantastic selection over in my store. I ship worldwide too!

Looking forward to a relaxing crafty day! Hubbie is cooking me a nice (I hope ;-) roast dinner :-)

Wags 'n Whiskers - Make you own Flowers

Yay... it's Friday and time for a new challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog. Sorry for my lack of creativity here over the last few weeks... This time of year is always so busy with family birthday's and so many little parties for the girls to attend. Hopefully I will be back on track now and posting more frequently!

Our talented gal Michele has a great challenge for us today is asking you to make your own flowers. You could use flower punches, ribbon flowers or anything you can think of! Michele is the queen of flowers and so creative... you can find out more about her delicious flowers over at her blog. Also Tina has created a tutorial on how she made the sheer flowers on her card. We are so honored to have such amazing cardmakers on our team :-)

Now to tell you a little about my card. This cutie patootie is called Let's Do Lunch. I have coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I also added a little stardust stickles to her cup. The gorgeous papers are the new Basic Grey Green at Heart. These along with Kioshi are back in stock... be quick though as they are going fast! I created my flowers with Spellbinder Shapeabilities. Added some buttons to my flower centers from the sherbert collection and finished with some Orange 4mm flat back pearls. I also added two of the larger 8mm flat back pearls in Pistachio Green. I have had the ticket stamp for some time now so stamped them onto the back some real tickets a friend sent me some time ago. All edges have been aged using VersaMagic Jumbo Java.

As well as the Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge my card also fits the fabulous challenge set by Joanne over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. This week is a recycling challenge. My card base is Kraft cardstock which is recycled and also the ticket :-)

I have also used the great sketch above to join in the challenge over at Truly Scrumption blog. Thanks Dawn!

Play along with us over at Wags 'n Whiskers and one lucky person who enters will win one Wags 'n Whiskers stamp of YOUR CHOICE!!

But remember, in order to be entered into the drawing for the free stamp, you MUST use a Wags 'n Whiskers stamp.

I created this bookmark for Zoe my little bookworm!!! The image used is Thinking of You where Zoe features with our cat Gemma. I have coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The gorgeous papers are from the MME Penny Lane Stack. The cute little heart buttons I found in my stash.

To play our challenges you must use a Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp as your main image to be entered into the prize drawing.
