A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 18 - "So Charming"

Thank you to everyone who entered a card into our challenge last week over at "A Spoon Full of Sugar". It has been so lovely to visit your blogs and see all your wonderful creations.

Our challenge this week is for you to make a card using either - a "charming character" or "charms".

We have a fabulous prize this week (see below) of a CC Design "Wintertime Fun" Stamp kit which has been very kindly donated by Bryony from Silly Monkey Crafts. This cute little set comes in a metal storage tin. Silly Monkey crafts have some great new products in stock including lots of gorgeous CherryArte Papers and CC Design stamps.

For my card this week I have used this cute Penny Black Kitty which was sent to me by Fran - Thank you! You have probably noticed by now that I use lots of images with cats on - cat mad me! Do you like my sentiment which I printed from word? I thought it was so appropriate for this cute character. I would also like to thank Deb for inspiring me and giving me the idea to use the charms as my flower centers. If you like the layout of my card you can find the sketch for it here.

Before I go I would like to thank dear Mumur, Kirsten and Marcea for awarding me with the "One Sweet Blog" award. If you haven't visited these ladies blogs before pop on over.... you will not be disappointed!

I'm taking Danni along to visit the nursery this morning. Some of you may know that she starts on Monday everyday for half a day. Today will be ok as i'm staying with her but I know there will be lots of tears on Monday. My Mum will tell you that at the moment I can't talk about it without blubbing! I really must try and hold my emotions in for Danni's sake.

Have a great week!

Hugs,

Card details:

I just love this image Nikkie. Fabulous card and your colouring is awesome hunny. Love it xxcx

I know how you feel re Danni, I really do. When Nikkie (my eldest) went, she walked in and hardly looked back. I was pleased but secretly a bit miffed that she didn't seem to miss me. When the youngest went, she was also fine - not quite as confident as Nikkie but still ok - but me and my next door neighbour, whose dink went at the same time, cried buckets all the way home. It's a milestone that we have to go through and accept but ohh I do feel for ya hunny. And there's nowt wrong with a few tears - it's what we mammas do. Big hugs xxxxxx

Hi Nikki, your card is fabulous! Such wonderful colouring and I agree with you about cat stamps, I have a few lol! The sentiment is brilliant, great idea and those figgy pudding papers are wonderful too. Hope Danni gets on ok at nursery, I'm sure she will and I hope you manage to keep the emotions in check, but it's very hard I know, she's your baby. Hope it goes well. I'm on a blogging holiday from tmoz, catch up with you when I get back. Chris xxx

Hi Nikki,

another great christmas card.
I love the DP and flowers with brads.

I know I felt the same way when Ruby and Britt went there for the first time. All in big tears and I was worried all morning. When I came to pick them up they were smiling and had a great time overthere. I hope Danni had a lot of fun this morning.
And as for you: keep smiling :).

Big hugs,
xoxo Karin

Oh great card Nikki just adore this image, and your flowers, it all pulls together so well, but then you never make a card that isn't stunning.
Hope all goes well with Danni, I can remember my eldest crying every morning for the first term, but as soon as I was out of the door they said he just stopped and carried on as normal, cannot believe it as I was crying all the way home and felt wicked, KIDS!!!!!
Hugs Jacqui xx
PS Cannot remeber if I told you my Punch arrived yesterday, what great service, thanks Hun
