High Hopes Challenge 10 - Metal Madness

Our challenge this week over at the High Hopes blog is "Metal Madness". We would like to see some metal somewhere on your card or project.. It can be using brads, hardware or charms like on my gift box below.. Whatever you can think of. Also one person will again be randomly picked for a yummy stamp prize.

I bought an item of Jewelry for a Christmas gift and as you can see from the above photo the gift box was very plain and boring.. Below you can see my decorated version.
I also added my handmade stamp to the bottom of the box to hide the ribbon join.

This is my favourite kitty stamp from High Hopes "Meowy Christmas" with "Meowy Christmas" sentiment. The papers are Daisy bucket. I have used the labels 2, circle and scalloped circle nestabilities. The hardware and rhinestone brad are SU. Coloured with my Prismacolour pencils with Sansodor and paper stumps for blending and again I had to finish with a little stickles on kitties hat. The flowers are Prima and the little Christmas tree charm is from Jenaca beads.

Blog Candy Alert: Ila has an amazing blog candy to celebrate over 100,000 hits and had two fantastic prizes! No surprise as her creations are always stunning!

Have a great Sunday!

Pink Cat "Lily"

I made this little gift box for one of Zoe's friends for Christmas. It's going to be stuffed with craft goodies! This was created using my trusty Scor-pal. It is so easy to make and you can find the details here.

I have also used my cute new Pink cat stamps and the Lily stamp I have used is from the set Lily and Tweet. I love this set as it has a variety of stamps for different occasions not just Christmas. I received an excellent service and these arrived to my home within 5 days of ordering.

The image is coloured with my Primsacolor pencils using Sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I have then given the snowman a glisten by colouring my Sakura stardust pen onto an acrylic block and then lifting the stardust with a damp brush. You need to keep the brush moving quickly and in circular movement so not to be left with any grey dark spots or streaks. I have then finished with Stickles. The prima holly leaf was also covered with lots of stickles too..

I wanted to add a fun element to the box so this pom pom ribbon was a great find at the Ali Pali show.
I received the above award from my blog friend Pati. Thank you so much for thinking of me and I hope you and hubbie continue to have fun with you voluntary work in Australia.

Wishing all my US friends a Happy Thanksgiving and hope you all have a great holiday with your family and friends.

Mimi - Pink Gem Designs

I made this card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge which has the theme "Snow and Snowflakes". They have a gorgeous WOJ Herb stamp for one lucky entrant. I have used this cute stamp called "Mimi" designed by Janet - Pink Gem Designs. I am just so in love with her and she has the cutest face don't you think? The gorgeous papers are by Bo Bunny. I stamped the SU Trees by colouring the stamp with Marvy le Plume pens. The image was then stamped onto Basic Grey paper and then stickles added to the trees for a snowy effect. This doesn't show well in my first photo which is why I have shown you the extra tilted photo below.
I would like to thank Maria for sending me the gorgeous velvet ribbon used on my card.

Do you like my Christmassy blog? Yeah, I know i'm early but the shops and town have their Christmas decorations up already so I thought i'd put my blog ones up too! Woof!

Ok, you remember the handsome pup I showed you a couple of days ago.. well here he is with his little girlfriend! lol.. I made this card for fun today and the kennel was cut from the Mickey and Friends cartridge on my Cricut Expression.. The bone was also cut from the same cartridge which I then stamped my sentiment on. I didn't have any mistletoe for them but thought this little heart with Holly looked kinda cute (thanks Jakki x). The punched stars were sent to me from my friend Tina. Thank you! The Paper Nation Dog was already wearing his christmas hat so I used one of the High Hopes Christmas hats for Scotty. These hats are just perfect for using on your other stamps and come in two sizes. They can turn your ordinary stamps into Christmas stamps and a great way to save some pennies. The finishing touch was to add a tiny heart stone to Scotty's collar.

I received the above award yesterday from Jacqueline and Heiki.. Thank you to both of you.. they are pretty spooky! If you haven't visited their blogs before go and pay them a visit as their work is just gorgeous!

The rules are to pass this on to at least 5 people.. Ok.. i'm gonna pick 5 blogs which are new to me and totally inspirational... Check them out..

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 27 - Blooming Marvelous!

This week for our challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar we are asking you use blooms/flowers somewhere on your card - you could always just use flowery paper! A nice easy challenge so no excuses not to join in and you might be lucky enough to be chosen as our random winner to win a great prize from Helene owner of Alota Rubber Stamps.

We would like to welcome Gill this week as our Guest Designer. You can check out her gorgeous creation on her blog.

For my card today I used some gorgeous products sent to me in my Silly Monkey DT kit. I just love the cute Pink Tilda and as you can see she is great for any occasion with her little christmas hat which I cut on my Cricut. I used cartridge Paper Dolls and cut the hat twice.. once on BG Wassail paper and then again on the glitter card. I added a dew drop to give the bobble dimension. I also paper pieced Tilda's heart in the same paper. I just love this gorgeous Bo Bunny paper which I customised with the SU tag punch and got Zoe to handwrite it. Underneath the tag the paper said "Love Emma" so thought it would be neat to personalise it. You might notice that all my Tilda's with plaited hair are coloured brown as they remind me of Zoe!

Hugs,

Our new challenge starts today over at the High Hopes blog and we are asking you to use buttons and brads on your card/project. I have used the gorgeous stamp Crystal Snowlady. She is coloured with my Prisma Pencils using Sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I have then applied Sakura Stardust using a damp brush to give her shimmer. Finsihing off with Stickles on the top of her flower, plant and spade handle. I've punched lots of mini snowflakes and once stuck down stickled them too. C.C. Angels

Just a quick and simple project to show you today as Danni has been off nursery poorly. She is getting much better but school have asked that she stays off now until Monday. I couldn't resist these new C.C. Design Angels and such a great price at $4.00 for the below set. They are a Digi download set so you receive a zip file of 7 Angels, Angel Saying, and all images on one page. They are just perfect for making cards for your little Angels friends for Christmas or for little treat bags like the one I have made. I do hope C.C. bring out some more of these sets in the new year!

I used my copic sketch markers for quickness and have used my Prisma Crimson Lake pencil with sansodor for the blush on her cheeks. I stickled her bow and edge of dress and for a subtle shimmer used Sakura stardust brushed onto her wings. The sparkly papers are handmade from Lakeland. The little tag was made using a SU tag punch which I added fibres too and a small SU Rhinestone brad. The ribbon handle is also by SU and is "Real Red" Grosgrain Ribbon width 1/4".

All SU products can be purchased through me.. along my sidebar on the right there is a link through to the current online catalogue. If you would like to place an order just drop me an email.

For more instructions on how I made this bag you can see my earlier post here.

Hugs,

Edit.. I've just found this picture of my angel which I thought you might like to see which was taken last year at her Toddler group Christmas party.
