Totally Tilda Challenge - Chocolate... Yum!

I am so excited as today is the first challenge for the Totally Tilda Challenge Blog :-) Even more fun but I get to play along as their guest!

For all you Tilda fans be sure to pop on over to the blog and sign up as a follower so you don't miss out on the fun! The challenge is run by my friend Susie of Die Cut Dreams. The Totally Tilda Challenge is totally sponsored by Die Cut Dreams and Bunny Zoe's Crafts :-)

Their first challenge has just started and the theme is Chocolate. So lots of rich browns and creams. You can add a little splash of colour but your main colours should be chocolate.

The Prize: As it´s their first Challenge there will have 2 prizes this challenge..... so 2 lucky winners :-)

It has been way too long since I inked a Tilda and I had so much fun colouring this sweetie. This Tilda is from a Magnolia kit which I think was produced in 2008. My Tilda has been coloured with a mixture of Copic markers and prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. Just a little star dust on her wing and also some crystal effects on her bottle. This isn't being picked up in the photo very well but gives the bottle a lovely shiny glass effect. The paper is from the Basic Grey Paper Pad Nook and Pantry. So lots of chocolately accessories 8mm and 4mm Flat back pearls, various flowers and buttons, beigh lace and chocolate pins.

Be sure to pop on over to admire the talented design teams yummy creations! Go on... join in.... get inking up these cuties!

Hugs,

tildaclose

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 37 - Sketch by Tina46

For our challenge this week we have a fabulous sketch for you to follow which has been designed by our Guest Designer Tina. Do take the time to visit Tina here. Her cards are breathtaking and her attention to detail on her cards is stunning.
We have a fabulous prize this week (see below) from our sponsor Nutcrafters. One lucky person will win High Hopes 'Cowgirl Candice', High Hopes 'Howdy Pardner' sentiment and also a Prima 'Pixie tin' (small assorted colour flowers). Thank you Colette and Katie for this wonderful prize!
For my card this week I have used some yummy products from my new Silly Monkey Crafts DT box. The gorgeous Tilda is one from the new '09 Valentines colletion and is called "Tilda with hearts". I thought it would a cute idea to add the goodwear mini heart buttons in her apron. Silly Monkey crafts have some fabulous new stamps in stock. As well as new Magnolia's they have Pink Cat Studio and The Greeting Farm stamps (Anya). I distressed the edges of the image using Versamagic Jumbo Java. I was then also very brave ;-) and even though there is no stitching on my card used my sewing machine to do the corner design.

I received the above beautiful award from my dear friend Agnes. Thank you Agnes!

Hope you find time to get inky and join in with our challenge.

Hugs,
Nikki x

For my card today I have used the gorgeous Tilda with Rose Magnolia image which was sent to me from Jakki - thank you! My friend Kelly currently has 10% off her Magnolia stamps in her store and also free shipping when buying these stamps in January! This offer only applies to my US and Canadian visitors as unfortunatley she cannot ship worldwide.

I have used the fabulous sketch designed by Heidi for Friday Sketchers. I so want to win the cute Alota stamp this week as I just adore the little girl with the sweet kitty. The papers I have used are Cloud 9 - Mint Swirl and Climbing Flowers which were sent to me from Agnes - thank you!. I just love the wire words and a great variety of these can be purchased from Silly Monkey Crafts. My image is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend.

I would like to thank Kim for passing the above award to me a couple of days ago.

This will be my last post before Christmas and will be back posting again on January 1st when I will show a gorgeous set for the High Hopes Project of the Month. We are going away Friday for a long weekend and you may be thinking that i'm having a break from crafting but I will be working on lots of projects to show you at the beginning of January ;-)

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 27 - Blooming Marvelous!

This week for our challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar we are asking you use blooms/flowers somewhere on your card - you could always just use flowery paper! A nice easy challenge so no excuses not to join in and you might be lucky enough to be chosen as our random winner to win a great prize from Helene owner of Alota Rubber Stamps.

We would like to welcome Gill this week as our Guest Designer. You can check out her gorgeous creation on her blog.

For my card today I used some gorgeous products sent to me in my Silly Monkey DT kit. I just love the cute Pink Tilda and as you can see she is great for any occasion with her little christmas hat which I cut on my Cricut. I used cartridge Paper Dolls and cut the hat twice.. once on BG Wassail paper and then again on the glitter card. I added a dew drop to give the bobble dimension. I also paper pieced Tilda's heart in the same paper. I just love this gorgeous Bo Bunny paper which I customised with the SU tag punch and got Zoe to handwrite it. Underneath the tag the paper said "Love Emma" so thought it would be neat to personalise it. You might notice that all my Tilda's with plaited hair are coloured brown as they remind me of Zoe!

Hugs,

Pink Candy - 30,000 Hits! NOW CLOSED!

My counter has just hit 30,000 hits and I wanted to do something special to celebrate.

October is.. Breast Cancer Awareness month and I would like you to think pink! My Nan died of cancer two years ago and it is such a sad fact of life that this disease affects so many of us if not directly maybe the people around us who we love so very dearly. With the new release of the Pink Magnolia's I knew this would be just the perfect candy. For every Magnolia Pink stamp purchased approx. 41p will go directly to Breast Cancer Awareness (donated directly by Magnolia).
My Prize includes: Magnolia Pink Tilda Ice/Ballet Princess Stamp (as used on my card), Magnolia Pink "Faith, Hope, Love" Sentiment (see above), 2 Sheets of Basic Grey Sophie - Sachet Pink, Pink tickets and some girlie charms.
What do you need to do to enter my candy? Quite simply leave a comment on this post and take the cute little penguin icon and post it on your blog to help raise awareness. You could also add a link to your penguin so it takes your visitors directly to the Breast Cancer Awareness website. If you could help me spread the word about my candy that would be great also!

Most importantly.. take a few minutes to just think... smile at the next person you see, tell someone you love them, give your kids a huge hug, send a distant friend an e-card to let them know you care, send a friend an unexpected RAK or maybe you would like to make a pink card too to send to someone special to put a smile on their face! If you do make a pink card please come back and leave a link on this post as I'd love to see it and you will also get an extra entry for your kindness! I would also love to post your pink cards on a slide show for everyone to admire.

You have until Friday 31st 6pm GMT to enter when my girls will pick a name out of the hat. As always I ship my candy internationally and my visitors who don't have blogs please email me your entry so we can include you. nichola.fairbairn@googlemail.com

A gift for Hannah

Here's a little something I made for Zoe's friend Hannah. I'm ok to show this now as she received it this morning. Hope you like it sweetie! I know i've used this stamp quite recently but she is one of my favourite Tilda's from the Summer club kit. The book mark is made from Tim Holtz Grungeboard and is great for these types of projects. It's tough but flexible and really easy to stain. I stained mine using VersaMagic in Purple Hydrangea. Image coloured with Primacolor pencils with Sansodor and paper stumps to blend. To finish off - lots of ribbons and fibres. They didn't photo too well on the white and the pale pink spotty ribbon has blended into the background!

Hope you all have a great weekend. We are off to my Mum's on Sunday to Cornwall for a little break. Pop back and visit on Tuesday as my challenge card is on Auto post.

Keep your fingers crossed also that the weather is nice as we are hoping to take the kids to the beach.

Image/Gift Folder & More fab mail!

Today I made this image folder by following the fabulous tutorial by the very talented Moni. After seeing her tutorial earlier in the week I rushed off to buy my Scor-Pal. This is such a fabulous invention and makes projects like this a breeze. I love the size of this folder as it can fit loads of stuff in and is handy for sending little gifts with your images. I will be making lots of these. Thank you Moni!I have been totally spoilt this week and can now show you this gorgeous card I received from my friend Jakki. It arrived in the week but I couldn't show it until today as it is for todays Tilda & Co Magnolia challenge. Thank you so much Jakki and I think you will all agree with me that it is just stunning. I am so happy to have you as my friend.

UPDATE:
For anyone looking to purchase a Scor-Pal you can buy them from Crafts U Love and they have free postage until Midnight Monday 14th July.

Also there are some fab projects using the Scor-Pal here in the Splitcoaster forums.

Magnolia Spring Club Tilda - Ismaki Week 20

I followed this weeks Ismaki Sketch Week 20. The inspiration for this card came from Stephanie who does the most wonderful bright work which I totally love. This Tilda was from the Magnolia Spring club kit and was coloured using my Prismacolor pencils with use of sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The paper is from a pad called Sunshine and is made by Me and My Big Idea's. The ribbon and bloom is from Rebecca's Scrapbook kit. The sentiment is from an embellishment pack I found in Tesco. The butterfly stamp is from a Studio G set. The Circle and Scalloped Circle cut using nestabilities.
