Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 16

Thank you to everyone who entered a card into our challenge last week over at "A Spoon Full of Sugar". It has been so lovely to visit your blogs and see all your wonderful creations.

This week we would like you to create a card using my sketch below.
We have a fabulous prize this week (see below) which has been very kindly donated by Bryony from Silly Monkey Crafts. Silly Monkey crafts have some great new products in stock including Jolly Nation and Tim Holtz stamps and lots of new christmas papers.

We have an announcement this week and would like to welcome the very talented Sonja to our team.

For my card this week I have used Splashing Maggie who I thought was just perfect to reflect the weather we have had over the last week. I used my sewing machine to do the pricked border around the image (not sure of the technical term!). I was planning on doing more sewing on my card but think I need to practice a little more as my first attempt ended up in the bin! I was ok at keeping my stitching straight but the turns looked awful - even brads wouldn't have disguised the mess. I think it didn't help that I was trying to a fancy stitch design. I should just stick with plain stitching and Zig Zags!

Before I go I would just like to thank dear Erna for passing the gold card award to me. If you haven't come across her blog before pop over to visit. Her work is stunning and so beautifully detailed.

One last thing... My blog is about to hit 20,000! I can't believe it as it was only little over two months since I celebrated 10,000! Just waiting for the prize to arrive and then i'll post it up......check back soon!

Have a great week,
Hugs,

Ooh, a sketch! Might have to have a go at this one :o)

Love this image and perfect for the current weather situation!

Sorry to hear you had problems with your stitching. I've just bought some plastic cross stitch canvas shapes to help with my paper piercing and I have to say, it was 45p well spent! Perfectly straight lines every time! ~x~
