High Hopes Challenge 6 - Non-Traditional & Candy!!!

Our new challenge over at the High Hopes blog has just started and this week we are asking you to make a non-traditional Christmas card.. so Red and Green should not be the dominant colours! Some great news too and each week there will now be a candy prize for one randomly picked winner! I have a confession and this is not the first card I made for this challenge as my first did end up a bit too traditional so will save this to show you later in the week ;-)

I've used this little guy a few times but I can't help it.. I love him! He sure does look cute wearing his Crimbo hat too! In the new releases there are two different sized Christmas hats and they are just perfect to add to other stamps.. My hanglar bear will be wearing one very soon! lol. I embossed the background behind stretch and added some clear dewdrops for a snowy effect.

Such a fabulous sketch again this week over at Friday Sketchers which I have used on this card. Thank you Jacqueline - I love it!
Have a great Sunday!
Hugs,

Hi Nikki, stretch is so cute, I love him with his santa hat on, your colouring is fantastic as always. I am really looking forward to getting some 'High Hopes' stamps for Christmas as I'm being a bit cheeky and asking my friends and family to get me some vouchers for silly monkey crafts, there are just so many to choose from. The pic of your lovely girls dressed up is great, how popular was High School Musical this Halloween. Hugs DawnM.x

Just beautifully done, Nikki!! I am loving Stretch in a Santa hat!! What did you call it? A "Crimbo" hat? Never heard that expression before! I love how the Big Pond between our countries gives us each a unique twist on our language, and I love learning what those differences are! I of course love the blues you used (fav. color) and the oranges sets it off great. Of course your coloring as always rocks the house!~

Hi Nikki, love the candy and will try to enter the challenge. Most of the challenges I know of are for things I don't usually have so I must widen my crafting supplies a bit. Thanks again for the dragon stamps. I am still a bit lost for backing papers but will carry on the search and when I do find some there will be no stopping me. There's an award on my blog for you, yours cheers me up so much. LOL Clare x
