A Spoon Full of Sugar - "One for the Boys"

Thank you to everyone who entered a card into our challenge last week over at "A Spoon Full of Sugar". It has been so lovely to visit your blogs and see all your wonderful creations.

This weeks theme is "One for the Boys" and as the title suggests you need to make a card for a boy/man in your life. Remember you need to use either a Sugar Nellie, Rachelle Anne Miller or Hanglar stamp.

This week Camilla has very kindly donated the stamp "Giddy up!" by Elisabeth Bell for our prize.

I made my card for this weeks challenge for my Grandad who will be celebrating his birthday this week. I coloured the Hanglar boy in my Prismacolor pencils but the goat and tree were coloured in a mixture of Copics and Promarkers. If you are looking to buy some marker pens Silly Monkey Crafts has a fabulous selection of ProMarkers. I used three different Basic Grey papers to create the background and used fibers for the grass. I put a little slit into the goats mouth to pop in some more fibers. I am really pleased with how this card turned out and hope you like it.

Card detail:
Stamps: Hanglar Trädgårdskille, Hanglar Goat and Magnolia Tree
Medium: Prismacolor, Sansodor & Paper stumps, Copics, ProMakers
Paper: Basic Grey Archaic
Embellishments:Fibres
Equipment: Cricut Expression with Mickey's Font Cartridge

Thank you Erna for passing this award to me today. I can't believe this is the 12th time I have received this award in a week. Thank you!

This is such an amazing card. Actually, it is more like a work of art! Love the way you have constructed the scene - I would never have thought of using the archaic paper as a backdrop but it works brilliantly! Fab work Nikki! ~x~
