Card for little Daan

My dear friend Renata asked for my help and of course I didn't hesitate to say yes. I was so saddened hearing about little 4 year old Daan and it breaks my heart as my own little daughter Danni is also 4. Please read the below request from Renata and I hope you can bring a smile to his little face by creating a card for him. When I first read Renata's email I knew that I would love to send my little Alien scene I created earlier in the week.

Dear Blog Friends,

I know you all love to make cards so what's better than to do something you realy enjoy and at the same time make a little boy happy in the most difficult time of his young life? Daan, the son of my sisters friend, is 4 years old and has a brain tumor which is sadly enough incurable. More and more body functions fail such as his legs can't carry him anymore. At the moment he gets radiation because his parents and the doctors will make his life as easy as possible and ofcourse no one will loose hope! I think it is heartbreaking and I'm so sad that I can't do anything to help him! That's why I ask you girls to make him a funny card so he has something good to look forward to and I think it will help his parents and two little sisters (Sacha (6) and Anna (2))as well. I also want to ask you to keep him in you prayers or send a little positive energy and thoughts to him, because you never know! Do you want to join in this small gesture, please send an e-mail to creatiefonline@upcmail.nl so I can send you the address you can send the card to. I like to thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Love, Renata

I am taking a little break for a few days but don't forget to check out our new challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog where our wonderful designer Inge has a colour challenge for you. Also tomorrow there will be a new challenge over at the High Hopes blog.

Hope your having a great weekend!

A Spoon Full of Sugar & High Hopes Challenge

Our new challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar has just started and this week our talented DT member Sandra challenged us to freestyle.. so basically create anything you like! :-) After a busy blogging week and being short for time I was lucky this meant I could combine this challenge with our challenge over at the High Hopes blog :-) This week our fun guest Alex. is asking us to create a scene. I will be honest and say I was a little scared of this challenge as I don't tend to create many scenes. I was quite pleased with how my card came out so thank you Alex. for challenging me!!!

For my scene I have used High Hopes stamps Space Scape, Chuck and Quentin. These new designs by Dustin Pike are in stock now at Bunny Zoe's Crafts. The bright fun papers are from the Basic Grey paper Pad Lime Rickey. The buttons are from the Fiesta and Ice Storm collections. The star and sentiment is from a special set which will be available to purchase soon direct from High Hopes. I have added some flat back pearls to Quentin's antenna's. I had so much fun working with these images and creating my little scene!

Be sure to check out the fabulous samples from both teams at A Spoon Full of Sugar and High Hopes Challenge blog. As well as having fun entering our challenges you have the chance of winning a prize!!!

Have a great Tuesday!

The profile of this image is so much like my Danni! Danni and Bella have been coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The gorgeous papers (love these colours!) are from the My Minds Paper Kit - Be Loved. The Hugs & Kisses sentiment is by Bildmalarna.

High Hopes - Sneak Peeks Day 3 :-)

My High Hopes sneak peak today has been created for our new challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. This week I have chosen the topic and I would love to see lots of layering on your cards.

I am also sponsoring our challenge this week and one lucky player will win a personalised stamp of their choice by Scrapmagasinet. Our wonderful guest designer this week is Heather Huggins! Thank you for playing along with us this week Heather and we adore your beautiful card. Get Well Soon sweetie.... we are thinking of you!

The fun character used on my card today is called Sting and will be available to purchase tomorrow from Bunny Zoe's Crafts. Sting has been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils with Sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The papers are a mixture of Cosmo Cricket Early Bird and also the DCWV Green stack. I really wanted to use this ribbon slide which co-ordinated with the green stripe in the paper and also the SU brads so tried something a little different.

Us High Hopes girlies hope you are enjoying our sneak peeks... only one more sleep until our blog hop :-) .... and also tomorow is release day!!!! Yay!!!! Today these wonderful Diva's have samples to share with you on their blogs.

High Hopes - Sneaks Cont.... :-)

The sneak peeks continue today for the new High Hopes release this coming Wednesday!!! Today my card features Cherry Chip Chimp with sentiment Cherry on top! Is this little guy adorable or what! I am having so much fun colouring these new images by Artist Dustin Pike!

My sweet little Chimp is stamped in Memento and coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I have added a little stickles to the cupcake sprinkles and cherry as well as a little to the flat black pearls. The gorgeous papers are from the MME Stack Laundry Line. This stack is shabby chic with antique and distressed prints. The colours from this collection are soft and muted and some of the paper have an intense scattering of glitter. I have rubbed all the edges down with my handy VersaMagic Jumbo Java chalk. Again I have added a scrap of Raffia Lace left over from an earlier project.

Let the Sneak peaks commence!!!

I am so excited as today we can finally share our sneak peaks for the upcoming High Hopes release on Wednesday.... Yes, that's right... Wednesday 20th January!!!

You are in for a real treat and our new artist Dustin has done an awesome job! Well today over at the High Hopes blog for our new challenge this week you will see that the team have all used stamps from the new release:-) Wow, you will be blown away by their samples!

Our challenge topic this week has been chosen by the talented Jeanne who is asking us to use Spacey colours. Don't think just because you don't have the new images you can't play along! There are zillions of High Hopes stamps which would compliment Spacey colours.. green, blues and purples!!!

The fun image used on my card today is called Willy One Eye. I have coloured my one eyed friend with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I was quite heavy with the red to create a more vibrant colour and just tickled the darker parts to blend lightly. I also added a little stickles sparkle to his spots and the ground.

Isn't the paper fab! I got so excited when I see this Orbit paper kit by Crate Paper. These kits are bursting with quality heavy papers and fun diecuts and stickers. To finish my card I added some jute for some added texture, buttons from the Sherbet collection and NEW Iridescent 4mm Pearls.

All new High Hopes stamps will be available to purchase from Bunny Zoe's Crafts on Wednesday, 20th January!!!

Have a wonderful Sunday and hope we see lots of you playing a long this week! You will want to play as our prize is some stamps from the new release!

Hugs,

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - Hearts

Our new challenge this week has just started over at the Wags 'n Whisker blog and this week our talented designer Sharon is asking for hearts to appear somewhere on our cards. I have used my favourite Martha Stewart Punches - Heart Lace Edger and NEW Lace Scallop Heart. I backed my Lace Scallop heart die cuts with co-ordinating cardstock which I embossed for a little more added texture. They have then been popped up using foam dimensionals.

The gorgeous image is Steal a kiss which features my 9 year old daughter Zoe with Lacey's 5 year old son Ryan. I will tell you now that Zoe cried her eyes out when she first saw this design... yuk.. a boy trying to kiss me!!! lol I think the Zoe in the design looks really pleased that Ryan is trying to steal a kiss!!!

Zoe and Ryan have been stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Prismacolour pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The beautiful papers are from the K&Company 6x6" paper pad Classic K McKenna. These handy pads are such fantastic value at £2.75 for 36 sheets!!! I have also added a gorgeous Prima Camelot Rose - Vanessa, 4mm Peach flat back pearls and again cut down a little lemon Raffia Lace - can you tell I love this stuff!!! As always all edges are slightly aged with my trusty Jumbo Java VersaMagic chalk!

Take part in our challenge and you have the chance to win a Wags 'n Whiskers stamp of your choice!!! Be sure to check out the beautiful samples from the rest of the team.

I'll see you Sunday with my first High Hopes sneak peak :-)
