Trish Tea Angel and some Yummy Awards

I can't believe it's Friday already.. where has the week gone? I have quite a few birthdays coming up so here is a card I made last night using one of my new stamps High Hopes "Trish Tea Angel". If you like the design of my card you can find the sketch for it over at my Sketch blog.

Over the last couple of days I have received some fab awards. The first yummy one from my sweet friends Marlene and Jacqui.

I would like to pass this award to all my Diva team mates at High Hopes and also to the "A Spoon Full of Sugar" DT gang. I won't list all your names but you can see who they are from the list in my side bar.

My other award has been given to me from Malin... Oh Malin.. I just LOVE this - thank you! I pass this below Sylvester award to my daughter Zoe, Heidi, Kelly, Agnes, Karin, Debbie, Lim, Marlene, Bryony, Kristine & Jakki.

Before I go my friend Crissy has just told me that October 4th is "World Card Making Day". If you haven't heard about this you can check out details here. The website has lots of great idea's on how to celebrate and also you can upload your cards to share your creations.

OK, one last thing (boy this was a long post today!).. My daughter Zoe and her friend Hannah at Craft Monkey's have their new challenge starting today at 3:30pm GMT. Don't forget to pop on over to show your support and encourage your under 16's to join in.

Have a great weekend!

A Spoon Fall of Sugar - Challenge 17 "Christmas"

Thank you to everyone who entered a card into our challenge last week over at "A Spoon Full of Sugar". It has been so lovely to visit your blogs and see all your wonderful creations you made with my sketch.

Our challenge this week is for you to make a Christmas card.

We have a fabulous stamp "Lola with bird" to give away this week which has been very kindly donated by Lim.
We also have some great news in that Jacqui has agreed to stay with us on the Design Team. We are so lucky to have you and I think you will agree that Jacqui's work is stunning.

This week I followed a great sketch for the front of my card which is designed by my friend Marlene - thanks honey I really love the result and will use it again! I created the template myself and finished the join by punching three holes on each side and adding ribbons. They are lightly tied so the card can be flattened easily for storing/sending. The adorable kitty is from High Hopes and is called "Meowy Christmas"

Portholes!

(this picture is kinda small so you may want to click for a larger view)

We had a great day today at Southend with the kiddies. The weather turned out to be quite warm and sunny in the afternoon which made a nice change. You can see some photo's over at my daughter Zoe's blog. You might notice that I even added a little shell on my card which we collected on the beach.

I had great fun making this Portholes card with these cute High Hopes sea characters and am really pleased with how it turned out. I used twinkling H2o's to give my colouring a bit of added glimmer. These can be purchased from Silly Monkey Crafts. Hope you like it!

If you like the layout of my card you can find the sketch for it here.

Spooked!

I had lots of fun making these halloween projects using Lizzie Anne Designs 'Spooked' stamp set. You can find these stamps and lots of other cute Lizzie Anne Stamps here at Silly Monkey Crafts. When I saw Isa's fabulous sketch this week over at Ismaki I knew this would be just perfect to use for my card. I must admit I did find the swivel bit tricky but it's the first time i've done this style of card and you know what they say....

If you like my little favor/treat box you can find the details of how to make it here. I totally recommend a Scor-Pal for these type of projects and they make it so quick and easy. Don't you just love these fun and cute keepsake brads by Karen Foster Designs. Nearly all the products used on my work can be found at Silly Monkey Crafts.

You may have noticed that I have created a new blog to house my sketches I create. Please feel free to use them and if you do leave a link so I can come and visit you.
