You have to have brown as your basic colour, then you can choose either pink or blue to go with the brown. As you can see I went for the brown and blue option but just couldn't help myself by adding a little pink too ;-)

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Denise from Whimsy stamps. One lucky player this week will win one of the new Crissy armstrong stamps which was released at the beginning of the month - Jolly Puppy Kisses.

High Hopes Challenge 54 - Santa

Our new challenge has just started over at the High Hopes blog and this week our wonderful guest Diva Michelle is asking you to get out your Santa stamps. Remember to enter our challenges you need to use High Hopes Rubber Stamps!!!

The random winner of this weeks challenge will receive the stamp Snowlady Surprise.

If you are looking to purchase High Hopes stamps I have a fantastic selection over in my store. Also you will find some of the High Hopes Santa's at amazing prices over in my Christmas Sale. You'll even find Santa's Portrait as used on my project today :-)

I was short on time this week but noticed this hot chocolate set that Zoe had chosen for her teacher was crying out for a little tag. So I coloured my Santa Portrait in the wacky colours to match the mug. I have again watercoloured today. Santa's face has been coloured in Distress inks: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and worn lipstick. I have added shadows to his beard and hair using Weathered wood. The green on his hat is coloured in Twinkling H2o Key Lime and then shadows added with Distress ink Peeled Paint. The orange is Distess ink Spiced Marmalade with a little H2o Persimmon to deepen the colour and add the twinkles. To finish I cut a white pom pom in half so it fit flat on the paper and added some stickles.

The cardstock for the tag is also sparkly and from the DCWV Taj Mahal stack. For some more fun I added the pop pom ribbon. Then a cute little bow with a snowflake 2 charm and red 4mm flat back pearl to finish.

Be sure to check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the team.

Just a quick post as we are off Grocery shopping *groan* but as soon as I get back i'll announce the winner of the cute Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Bernadette. You haven't entered yet? Well just scroll down a few posts as there is still time!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

You're Snow Sweet! + Candy :-)

Our challenge this week over at A Spoon Full of Sugar is to make a baby card or card for a young child. I made this card for my daughter Danni as she loves this sweet Bunny Bernadette by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. You also get the Snow Sweet sentiment too! Danni has already coloured her Bernadette which is ready to be made into a tag for her teachers Christmas gift. I'll be sure to show you when she's finished.

I have also used the wonderful sketch below from this weeks Stamp Something Challenge.

Bernadette is watercoloured using distress inks. She was stamped in Stazon Jet Black onto Fabriano Watercolour Paper (140lb). I used a small Sakura Koi brush, though I do not fill the tank with water.

Distress ink colours used for my sweet Bunny - Fur: Scattered Straw, Tuft on her head: Frayed Burlap. Nose, Cheeks, hand Muff and Ear Muffs: Worn Lipstick, Inside her ears: Tattered rose with tea dye and then a little Worn Lipstick at the bottom. Scarf: Peeled Paint, slight shadow on the band of her ear muffs: Weathered Wood. I also added some distress stickles in worn lipstick to her ear muffs.

The papers are from the gorgeous Basic Grey paper pad Eskimo Kisses. The colours and designs in this pad are just so pretty! Punches used - SU Snowflake and Martha Stewart Artic Snowflake. The buttons is from the Bouquet collection. Also a little 4mm flat back pearl added to the corner in baby pink and Burgundy Jute Ribbon.

Want to win the stamp Kraftin' Kimmie Bernadette as seen on my card today? Leave your details with Mr. Linky below. I will announce the winner on Sunday. The popular gals Clara, Antoinette and Charlotte are back in stock!

Happy Sunday! Hope your having a great weekend....

This challenge over at the High Hopes blog our super talented Diva Karen has given us a recipe to work with.... 3-2-1

3 Flowers, 2 brads, 1 sentiment

No excuses not to join in and you have the chance to ink up a High Hopes stamp of your choice this week! Maybe you have had enough of Christmas cards and fancy creating something a little different ;-) Remember to enter our challenges you need to use High Hopes Rubber Stamps!!!

The random winner of this weeks challenge will receive the stamp Woodland Santa.

If you are looking to purchase High Hopes stamps I have a great selection in my store. If the stamp you are after is sold out... I have a new delivery arriving tomorrow so you can always email me and i'll put it by!!!

Here's a little about my card - The fun santa stamp is Santa in Chimney. Santa is coloured in prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I have added lots of stickle sparkle to his hat and chunky glitter for the snowy effect. The gorgeous papers are from the My Minds Eye stack - Signature Christmas glitter. The Christmas stacks are currently a whooping 25% off but be quick as I only have a couple left and will not be replacing stock. In the center of my flowers I added white 4mm flat backed pearls and also some more stickles... the brads were quite shimmery but again a dollop of stickles gave them extra sparkle! lol

Have a great day!

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - Stitch 'em up!

Our new challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog has just started and this week our talented designer Tina is asking to see stitching on our cards or creations. This can stitching using your machine, by hand or faux. I love to see stitching on cards but to be honest me and my sewing machine have never been friends! I cheated big time by choosing to use stitched ribbon ;-) Hey.. it's stitched! Just not by me :-) The designers have done an amazing job again this week and lots of eye candy for you!

I am still playing with my distress inks and loving them so much! I have used them again to colour in the beautiful image Angel Whispers. I have been dying to use these Cosmo Cricket papers for a few weeks now. The papers are such fabulous quality and I love the colours in this Early Bird collection. I used the circle nestabilites and also a new toy - Nellie's Multi Frame die. I will have these in stock next week :-) Other products used: Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch and 4mm flat back Pearls in new golden yellow. All Martha Stewart punches are currently 10% off.

Can't wait to see you creations. If you want to play along too but don't have any Wags 'n Whiskers Stamps. You can purchase them here. We ship worldwide!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend and see you Sunday for the next High Hopes challenge.

You're Snow Fabulous!

Our new challenge has just started over at the Scrapmagasinet DT blog and Heather has a wonderful sketch for us to follow. Heather's sketches are great to work with and I love all the layering she adds... thanks Heather!!!

One lucky player this challenge will win a whole set of below cute new angel stamps. These would be super cute on vintage style creations.

Lisbet has a great selection of fun Christmas stamps like the one used on my card today. You can check them out in my store here. The gorgeous papers are Basic Grey Wassail and I have inked the edges and the edge of my image with VersaMagic Chalk Jumbo Java. The sentiment is free from the Pink Cat Studio Digi Store which I picked up when purchasing a digi a couple of days ago. I printed this out onto the Wassail paper and then used a nestabilities labels 9 to cut it out. The cute little buttons are Tiny Victorian. Again I have used my SU Snowflake punch and Martha Stewart Artic Snowflake punch. I added 4mm white half back pearls to the centers. My image is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. Added texture to my image with Polar white flower soft and chunky glitter.

Be sure to come on over to the Scrapmagasinet blog to admire Heather and Wenches gorgeous samples.. they have used some fun images too!

The random winner of this weeks challenge will receive the stamp "Fishing Santa".

If you are looking to purchase High Hopes stamps I have a great selection over in my store Bunny Zoe's Crafts. I ship worldwide too!!!

You may notice something a little different about my colouring today? Well I have stepped totally out of my comfort zone and swapped a pencil for a brush. This is my first attempt at watercolouring with distress inks so please be kind! I have to say that I LOVE them so much.. still need lots of practice blending but I am quite chuffed with my first effort.

A HUGE thank you to my friend Jacqui for sharing her wonderful tutorials... I recommend anyone wanting to try watercolouring to check them out!!! You can find them linked in the top right of her blog.

Here is a little about the products used today - Papers are from Basic Grey Pads Perhaps and Indian Summer. The cute angel is High Hopes Herald Angel and sentiment "Let Heaven and Nature Sing!" My image is stamped in Stazon onto Fabriano 300g/140lb Watercolour paper. My sentiment is stamped in Versafine. The edges of my image and paper are distressed using VersaMagic Jumbo Java. I cut the sentiment out using the SU Word Window punch.

I used pretty white lace and my new baby pink 4mm half back pearls. The Snowflake Punch is Martha Stewart Artic Snowflake. This punch is currently sold out but I do have more on order.

Tim Holtz Distress inks:
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye
Cheeks: Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, frayed Burlap and brushed corduroy
Dress: Worn Lipstick
Bugle: Scattered Straw and brushed corduroy
Stars: Spiced Marmalade
Wings: Broken China

I finished with some extra sparkles using Distress Stickles Broken China and Golden Rod Stickles.

Be sure to check out the teams gorgeous cards over at the High Hopes blog for your inspiration.

Have a wonderful Sunday... we're off for a little stroll into town this morning to start some Christmas shopping - can't wait (not!).

We have some great news too in that the very talented Chris Olsen is joining our team. I love Chris's gorgeous creations and if you haven't checked out her blog before... you must!!!

Our first challenge is hosted by the lovely Karen. Karen is asking you to make 'em sparkle. What a great first challenge and with so many seasonal cards to make a perfect one too!!!

The cutie image used on my card is Ride 'em Ryan. This image is so versatile and is great for general cards and Christmas too!!! I used the fabulous sketch by Sonja which is this weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge - yep late again ;-) This sketch fitted in perfectly with my card today... thanks Sonja.

Now to make my card sparkle I used the gorgeous papers from MME Signature Christmas Glitter Stack. This stack is so luxurious!!! I also added some stickles sparkle to the brads.

My image is stamped in Momento and then coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The Howdy little Partner sentiment is from the Pink Cat Studio Sweet Pea Plate 2.

As always the teams cards are such eye candy!!! Be sure to check them out at the Wags 'n Whisker blog.

I have a friend popping round for coffee this morning but hope to have a little play time with my new distress inks. I am hoping to use them on Sunday's High Hopes card... if I am brave enough to show you that is!!!

Be back later today with a stock update as we have lots of new goodies arriving in the store :-)
