Popping on to say "Hello"

Just popping on to wish you all a great weekend. I have been really busy with the girls this week and seeing lots friends and relatives. We are also getting prepared for Zoe who goes back to school next Thursday. I'm working a couple of projects but can't show you until Monday and Tuesday. My Silly Monkey DT box also arrived today so look forward to showing you some spooky themed projects soon.
The above beautiful card arrived yesterday from Andrea. Isn't is just gorgeous? Thanks again Andrea.

Dutch Dare Challenge - Girly card

I have made this card to join in this weeks Dutch Dare challenge where this week they are asking you to make a card for a girl. They have a fantastic prize on offer.

I have used a Papilio image and this little girl is called "Maya". Isn't she just the cutest with her gorgeous big eyes.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 14 - Three different ribbons

Thank you to everyone who entered a card into our challenge last week over at "A Spoon Full of Sugar". It has been so lovely to visit your blogs and see all your wonderful creations.

For my card this week I have used High Hopes Henry the Great with all his cute little bunnies. I looped three different ribbons to add to my bloom and finish with a button.

We're off to visit my Nan, Grandad and Aunt today for the last time before they emigrate to Portugal in a couple of weeks time. I know there is going to be lots of tears but look forward to spending quality time with them in the future when we go and visit for holidays. I will be featured in the Reader Stories of Cardmaking and Papercraft Issue 58 which is due out on 30th September with my story about this.

Lil' Show Girl

I wanted to decorate something today so this hardcover notebook I picked up from Asda for £1 was just perfect. I really love how this turned out and think this will make great stocking fillers for the children's little friends for christmas.. This one is for me! I used these cute new High Hopes Stamps Lil' Show girl and her show horse and lots of stickles. The letters were cut on my Cricut Expression.

Both the High Hope Stamps and the stickles are available to purchase from Silly Monkey Crafts. Their sale is now on and they have 10% of all products. Also postage is free on orders over £15.

Crafty Monkey's

I've been so busy with the children and also my husband has been working shifts so we haven't been at home much. I hope to be back over the weekend with something to show you but haven't had much crafting time the last couple of days.

Ahoy Landlubber! - High Hopes Project of the Month


I needed to make a card for Zoe's friend who will be 6 on Friday and this months High Hopes Project of the Month set was just perfect for the job. A Spoonful of Sugar - Sketch by Debbie

This week we would love you to join in and follow the sketch below created by Debbie. Thanks for the great sketch debbie and it was fun to work with and I will use it again.
We have a fabulous prize to give away this week which we will be sent to one randomly chosen winner. The "Charlie and dog" stamp has very kindly been donated by Katharina from "Whiff of Joy Stamps". Thank you Katharina.
For my card this week I have used this gorgeous Sarah Kay "Picnic of Daises". I just love these pretty bright papers which are by Three bugs in a Rug and area part of the Blossom collection. The "Happy thoughts" paper in this range is just great as it has lots of words which can be chopped up for sentiments. Most of the products used on my card today including the ProMarkers can be purchased from Silly Monkey Crafts (I have added the individual product links below). I have used a combination of ProMarkers and Copics to colour my image and have to say apart from the nibs being different I can't notice a difference between the ink quality.

Friday Sketchers - Pip with Presents

Yeah, I've made a start on my Christmas cards and isn't this little boy just the cutest with his little present pile. I followed the great sketch by Mumur for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge. I really enjoyed this challenge this week and the sketch gave me a chance to go mad with some fibres!

Yesterday I received two awards.. the first was the "Wylde Woman" award from Erna and also the "I love your blog" award from Maria. Thank you both so much for passing these to me and for making my day.

I wanted to also show you this beautiful card that arrived from my friend Kristine with some images. Little Missy

I have been dying to use this cute little image for a while and I would like to introduce "Little Missy". I apologies for my lack of imagination this week and some of you may have spotted that the colour scheme is very similar to my last card. This wasn't my intention and my card was half done when I realised.. Just shows you how much I love my new SU papers!

I have been really lucky and a couple of days again received this fab award again from my friend Kelly - Thank you and you know how much I love you and your blog! I received this award before so again would like to give this to you all for being such great blogging friends and for all you wonderful comments.

I had a really great mail day and wanted to share some of the lovely cards from my friends.

Friday Sketchers, Mothers and Daughters Creations and an Award


We're back from a very wet Cornwall but we had a lovely break. It was lovely to see my Mum and for the girls to play with their Nanny.

Here is a card I made today to cover two challenges. Firstly Friday sketchers which is using the fabulous sketch by Bea as shown below. Also this weeks Mothers and Daughters creations which is to use Stickles on your card.

The shell on my card was collected by my girls at Looe beach on Sunday. It was chucking down and both girls were like drowned rats but had such a great time digging around with their buckets and spades with my Mum. All stamps can be purchased from Silly Monkey Crafts.


I also came home to this lovely award from my good friend Justine - thanks honey!

I know this award has been around lots but would like to pass it to any of my friends who make my day and leave me comments who haven't received it.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge - Recycling

For this weeks challenge we would love you to make a card using a recycled item. It could be simply using up your old scraps of papers left over from other projects or if you want to be more adventurous maybe some buttons, lace or ribbon which you have rescued from some old clothing, any household articles like bottle tops, wrapping paper, tags in clothing etc...
