Thank you to everyone who entered a card into our challenge last week over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. It has been so lovely to visit your blogs and see all your wonderful creations. This weeks challenge is to create a card for a special occasion. I hope you get the time to come over and join in.

Remember you can use any Sugar Nellie or Rachelle Anne Miller stamp.... and wait for it...Hanglars! Yes, with the announcement from Funky kits that they will soon be selling these cute little stamps we have decided to add these to our challenge too.

Again this week all cards entered will be in with a chance to win a stamp and this weeks stamp has been provided by the very generous Joanne.

I made this card for my Mum as she has a wedding to go to soon so offered to make her a personalised card. The sentiment was printed on my computer. I made the hearts by creating 3 different sized heart templates in card on my Cricut Expression. To get the frayed edges I layed the template onto my handmade paper then used a craft knife and in quick outward movements pulled at the paper all the way round the shape. I think this gave a really good effect. Hope you like it.

Card detail:
Stamp: Hanglar's from Spring Club kit
Medium: Prismacolour, Sansodor & Paper stumps, Sakura stardust pen and Fruit punch Stikles
Paper: PM Simply Elegant and Handmade paper from Michaels,
Equipment: Cricut Expression with George cartridge.

High Hopes - Ashley And Jan's Pillow Fun

I would just like to thank my friend Debbie for giving me the idea to make this Sleepover invitation card. Here is the tutorial I followed to make the Criss Cross Design. I have left the back of the card blank for now but this is where you would put the information for the sleepover event. I have used High Hopes Stamp Ashley and Jan's Pillow fun which you can find over at Silly Monkey Crafts. They have a great collection of my favourite stamps there.

This is the first time I have used Stickles and must admit I panicked when I applied it as it looked a gluey mess and I had to get my koi brush to even it out. By this stage I was getting annoyed with myself as thought I had ruined their wings but it did dry really nice and smooth - phew! I am still learning so much everyday.

Card details:
Stamp: High Hopes - Ashley And Jan's Pillow Fun
Medium: Prismacolour, Sansodor & Paper stumps & Stickles
Paper: Bazzill and lots of Cherry Arte Paper from the Kittylou Range.
Embellishments: Bloom and ribbon - Rebecca's Scrapbooking Stash, Brad & Heart Eyelet

I finished the back of the envelope off with my handmade stamp which covered over the join of the ribbon neatly.

Wow.. look what I got in the post today

Look at this wonderful folder which was sent to me today from Tina. Isn't it just gorgeous and packed with lots of yummy goodies. It was wrapped beautifully in tissue paper with a ribbon around (this is what my husband told me anyway as he eagerly opened it while I was out this morning at Mother and Toddler! (Tut tut!) Thank you so much Tina... I love it!

I will be back later with a DT project for Silly Monkey Crafts.
