High Hopes Challenge - Recipe

Our new challenge has just started this week over at the High Hopes blog and this week the lovely and talented Amy W is hosting our challenge. She has given us a color challenge with a twist:

Orange and Brown plus add a Circle.

On my card I have used this cute stamp Easter Bunny also with High Hopes sentiment Happy Easter. I had lots of new arrivals from High Hopes this week so worth checking out! I also ship worldwide!

I used the fantastic new die by Nellie's Choice - Multi Eastern Round. I love these dies and they are such a great price too. They can be used in the same way as your nestabilities and work perfectly with my Wizard and Cuttlebug.

Bunny is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I have also add a little stickles sparkle. The papers are from the Cosco Cricket Garden Variety stack and also the Basic Grey Origins stack. To finish I added some gorgeous beige lace and of course my favourite flat back pearls - 4mm and 8mm!

Sorry it's such a short post today but my Mum has come to visit for a few days :-) It is so lovely to see her as we only get to spend time together a couple of times each year. The girls are loving seeing their Nanny Shirley.

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - Freestyle!

Our new challenge has just started over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog and this week my talented friend and designer Inge is asking us to Freestyle! Yay.. this means you can do anything you want!

I created my card to fit our challenge over a A Spoon Full of Sugar where we are being asked to use re-inkers, pearls or glitter. I did colour with my Primsa pencils ;-) but have added lots of 4mm pearls as they are my fav embellishment. I also used glittery papers from the new MME Stack Penny Lane. The colours in this stack are so gorgeous!

I have also used the fabulous sketch over at the Papertake Weekly Challenge.


The image used on my card today is called Say a Prayer. Isn't she a beauty! Other products used on my card are: head pins, rondelle spacers, Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly punch, New Big Scalloped Oval Nestabilities and Prima mini roses.

We are also looking for guests to join in with our challenges each week. To have a chance to play along with us all you need to do is create a card for this weeks challenge using a Wags 'n Whisker stamp. You can read more details over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog.

My favourite things....

The kids have been home for half-term this week so I am running late on all my challenges. To be honest I was going to have a week out but my MIL and FIL took the girls out unexpectedly yesterday so Mum got a little relaxation time :-)

This card is for our current challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog where our wonderful designer Jacqui is asking you to use your favourite things - this could be favourite colours, embellishments, charms etc...

The sweet image on my card is a new release stamp Bedtime Story. She is coloured with my favourite medium - Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stump to blend. My other favourites are Cosmo Cricket papers (these are from the new Material girl stack), gorgeous little Prima mini roses and 8mm flat back pearls in new golden yellow. I stamped in my favourite ink Memento and distressed the edges with VersaMagic Jumbo Java chalk. Thanks for the great challenge Jacqui!
