Wags 'n Whiskers - Valentines with a twist!

The Wags 'n Whiskers challenge is back with our first challenge of 2010! For our challenge this week we would love to see your Valentines creations but with a twist... NO RED or at the very least red should be kept to the minimum!

Once again, one lovely participant will win a Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp of your choice.

For my card this week I have used Puppy Love. This cute puppy couple is Lacey's sweet yorkie Princess with my Aunt's handsome Golden Retriever Barley - see below. Not only is this a sweet image for Valentines but would also be perfect for Anniversary cards too! Princess and Barley have been coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I kept the card design quite simple and the dp is from the new Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6x6" pad. I again cut some raffia lace and added some co-ordinating flowers and brads.

Here is Barley Bear as my Aunt calls him. You may remember that my Nan, Grandad and Aunt moved to Portugal last year. Miss you loads!!!

Picture of the girls with Barley.

Sorry it's so fuzzy but pic was taken on my mobile

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Hearts!

Our new challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar has just started and this week Debbie would like to see hearts on our cards.

I couldn't wait to colour this cute image - Ryan's Chocolate Trouble from the latest Wags 'n Whiskers release. Don't you just love the expression on Ryan's face! How can you resist him... he did save a choc for you! lol

The papers, 8mm chocolate flat back pearls and sentiment are from my Love Bandit Kit! My two kits Love Bandit and Persuassion are my January Special offer over in my store so be sure to check them out! When purchasing the kit you can also purchase any Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Rubber Stamp at a discounted price too!

Ryan has been coloured with Prismacolour pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I have cut around the sentiment with a large SU Tag Punch. As always I have used my VersaMagic Jumbo Java chalk to age the edges of my paper and image.

So for our challenge... I have hearts on my papers, little hearts on my sentiment and also I used the Martha Stewart Edger Heart Lace Punch.

My card also fits with our challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog where Lacey is asking us to use punches or dies. Our new challenge doesn't start until Friday so get inking up your Wags 'n Whiskers Stamps - there is still time to play! You can check out our fabulous new release here.

We have a fabulous guest with us this week too at Spoon Full - Debby4000! I love this gals work! Be sure to visit Debby to check out her gorgeous card. Also be sure to check out the rest of the teams inspirational work!

High Hope Challenge 57 - Sketchy Time

Our first challenge of the year has just started over at the High Hopes blog and this week I have created a sketch for you to follow. Feel free to rotate or add any extra elements if you wish! As always by playing there is a chance to win a great stamp prize! We also welcome our two new guests for the new term Melanie and Alex.!

This is the first card I have made for nearly 3 weeks so do feel a little rusty! I couldn't resist using this sweet High Hopes stamp Group Hug Bears and sentiment Group Hug. I don't actually stock this stamp in my store as it was a recent gift from Bethany at High Hopes . My huggy bears were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with a mixture of copic sketch markers and Prismacolor pencils.

The papers are from the new Basic Grey pad Sugar Rush 6x6" Paper pad. I used a circle nestabilitie to cut around the image and then added a Nellie Frame Die Multi Round behind. These dies are fabulous value so be sure to check them out! I added some lilac flat back pearls around the edge of the die shape. The heart is a new Martha Stewart Punch Lace Scallop Heart. I popped it up on foam pads and also popped up the sentiment which I cut out using an SU Word Window Punch. My sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

All paper edges were aged using VersaMagic Chalk Jumbo Java. To finish I cut up some Dark Pink Raffia Lace and added some co-ordinating buttons from the Sugar Plum Collection .

Be sure to check out the awesome samples from the rest of the team!

Thought I would share some pictures with you today. The first is of poor Danni who cut above her eye quite badly last week while twirling around to Disney Princess music. Poor little love fell and landed on the corner of the cat scratching post... Ouch! We did have a little trip to A&E but luckily she didn't need any stitches.... and is still smiling!

Next are the girls over the park a few days ago on their new bikes.

Zoe has never really been keen on bikes so this is her first bmx without stabilizers. Such a proud Mum and she was riding after 10 minutes practice. As you can see she loves it!

Do you have any under 16's who love to craft? You do.... Well be sure to get them to check out Crafty Monkey's the Challenge blog for kids. Zoe and Hannah's new challenge started Friday and Hannah has created a great sketch. Your under 16's won't want to miss out on the cool prize!

Wow... that was a long post today!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Hugs,

Now a little about my card today... The image is called Thinking of You and features my daughter Zoe and our cat Gemma. This is a pose you would find Zoe in so often as she is such a list writer!!! She drives me nuts with all the little notes she leaves around the house! lol

My image is stamped in Stazon and coloured with Distress inks. The gorgeous papers, ribbon and brads are from my new kit - Persuasion which is available to buy now at Bunny Zoe's Crafts. As an added bonus if you buy either of my two new kits you can purchase any Wags 'n Whisker stamp at a special discounted price.
