Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - Make 'em Sparkle

nikkirideemryan

I am so excited as our first challenge starts today over at the Wags 'n Whisker blog. Your stamps have arrived...? so come on over and play with us!!!

We have some great news too in that the very talented Chris Olsen is joining our team. I love Chris's gorgeous creations and if you haven't checked out her blog before... you must!!!

Our first challenge is hosted by the lovely Karen. Karen is asking you to make 'em sparkle. What a great first challenge and with so many seasonal cards to make a perfect one too!!!

The cutie image used on my card is Ride 'em Ryan. This image is so versatile and is great for general cards and Christmas too!!! I used the fabulous sketch by Sonja which is this weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge - yep late again ;-) This sketch fitted in perfectly with my card today... thanks Sonja.

Now to make my card sparkle I used the gorgeous papers from MME Signature Christmas Glitter Stack. This stack is so luxurious!!! I also added some stickles sparkle to the brads.

My image is stamped in Momento and then coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The Howdy little Partner sentiment is from the Pink Cat Studio Sweet Pea Plate 2.

As always the teams cards are such eye candy!!! Be sure to check them out at the Wags 'n Whisker blog.

I have a friend popping round for coffee this morning but hope to have a little play time with my new distress inks. I am hoping to use them on Sunday's High Hopes card... if I am brave enough to show you that is!!!

Be back later today with a stock update as we have lots of new goodies arriving in the store :-)

Hugs,
Nikki x

I live in the North East of England with my Husband and 2 Children, Jack who is 16 and Hannah who is 11.Crafting has been my hobby for as long as I can remember. I love rubber stamping and coloring with Copic Markers and Prismas. My love of stamping has also rubbed of onto Hannah, who is becoming a talented card maker in her own right., I started my blog in march 2008 and have loved every second of it... I am absolutely over the moon, and would like to thank Nikki for giving me this wonderful opportunity. Hugs Debbie x

Hi my name is Debbie, I live in the beautiful county of South Yorkshire. I am a single mum with three children... two are all grown up and have flown the nest and I home educate my youngest son Jack who is 13.

I have been crafting for five years now and I love stamping, I especially love the cute and whimsical images. I always colour my stamped images with Copics and I have a passion for colour which stems from my training as a textile designer so I love to have fun experimenting with colour combinations.

High Hopes Challenge - Snowflakes

sweetmeowyxmas

Back again today with a second post :-) This time for this weeks High Hopes Challenge.

This week our wonderful Diva Amy L is asking us to show Snowflakes on our cards. How easy it that!! With Christmas getting closer it's a great opportunity to get cracking with your seasonal cards! So no excuses not to join in ;-) You could have snowflakes on your papers, snowflake charms, punched snowflakes, stamp snowflakes, snowflake embellishments... I think you get the picture!

Remember to enter our challenges you need to use High Hopes Rubber Stamps!!!

The random winner of this weeks challenge will receive the below cute stamp Three pane Santa and Sentiment "Peeking, Poking, Shaking".

If you are looking to purchase High Hopes stamps I have a great selection here in my store.

Now a little about my card today... With the girls being on half-term this week and also the Halloween festivities I needed to make a quick card for our challenge today. One of my favourite High Hopes images for quick cards is Meowy Christmas. She is so adorable peeking out from under her hat and so quick to colour. I used nestabilities labels 9 to cut her out and then sponged around her using VersaMagic Pixie Dust chalk. My cute kitty is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. This little kitty will sure be used lots each year!

Check out the teams gorgeous cards at our challenge blog for your inspiration. Their cards are stunning as always!

Don't forget my earlier post today for Kraftin' Kimmies Stamp new release. If you leave a comment on my Antoinette card you will have the chance of winning a Kraftin' Kimmie package!!!
