High Hopes Challenge - Recipe

Our new challenge has just started this week over at the High Hopes blog and this week the lovely and talented Amy W is hosting our challenge. She has given us a color challenge with a twist:

Orange and Brown plus add a Circle.

On my card I have used this cute stamp Easter Bunny also with High Hopes sentiment Happy Easter. I had lots of new arrivals from High Hopes this week so worth checking out! I also ship worldwide!

I used the fantastic new die by Nellie's Choice - Multi Eastern Round. I love these dies and they are such a great price too. They can be used in the same way as your nestabilities and work perfectly with my Wizard and Cuttlebug.

Bunny is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I have also add a little stickles sparkle. The papers are from the Cosco Cricket Garden Variety stack and also the Basic Grey Origins stack. To finish I added some gorgeous beige lace and of course my favourite flat back pearls - 4mm and 8mm!

Sorry it's such a short post today but my Mum has come to visit for a few days :-) It is so lovely to see her as we only get to spend time together a couple of times each year. The girls are loving seeing their Nanny Shirley.

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - Freestyle!

Our new challenge has just started over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog and this week my talented friend and designer Inge is asking us to Freestyle! Yay.. this means you can do anything you want!

I created my card to fit our challenge over a A Spoon Full of Sugar where we are being asked to use re-inkers, pearls or glitter. I did colour with my Primsa pencils ;-) but have added lots of 4mm pearls as they are my fav embellishment. I also used glittery papers from the new MME Stack Penny Lane. The colours in this stack are so gorgeous!

I have also used the fabulous sketch over at the Papertake Weekly Challenge.


The image used on my card today is called Say a Prayer. Isn't she a beauty! Other products used on my card are: head pins, rondelle spacers, Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly punch, New Big Scalloped Oval Nestabilities and Prima mini roses.

We are also looking for guests to join in with our challenges each week. To have a chance to play along with us all you need to do is create a card for this weeks challenge using a Wags 'n Whisker stamp. You can read more details over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog.

My favourite things....

The kids have been home for half-term this week so I am running late on all my challenges. To be honest I was going to have a week out but my MIL and FIL took the girls out unexpectedly yesterday so Mum got a little relaxation time :-)

This card is for our current challenge over at the Wags 'n Whiskers blog where our wonderful designer Jacqui is asking you to use your favourite things - this could be favourite colours, embellishments, charms etc...

The sweet image on my card is a new release stamp Bedtime Story. She is coloured with my favourite medium - Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stump to blend. My other favourites are Cosmo Cricket papers (these are from the new Material girl stack), gorgeous little Prima mini roses and 8mm flat back pearls in new golden yellow. I stamped in my favourite ink Memento and distressed the edges with VersaMagic Jumbo Java chalk. Thanks for the great challenge Jacqui!

High Hope Recipe Challenge

Happy Valentines! Our new challenge has started over at the High Hopes blog and this week our amazingly talented Diva Sirpa has a fun recipe for us to follow. She is asking us to use 3 Designer Papers, 3 Flowers and 3 Buttons.

The cute character on my card is called Dunno Ducky and he is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The papers are DCWV Nanna's Kitchen and have some lovely Spring time colours as well as pretty pinks and blues. Spring Time Fun Blog Hop and Release Day!!!

Yippee!!! Today is the day for the Blog Hop and Release!! We have 8 beautiful Spring Time stamps designed by the talented Crissy Armstrong and 5 fun and whimsical stamps designed by Cris de Lara.

Here are the pictures which inspired Crissy to draw this sweet design as shown on my project today. This design is so special to me as it features a younger Zoe with her very much loved Snuzzle Bunny. Zoe was only a few months old when her and Snuzzle couldn't be parted. Even now at 9 Zoe will snuggle Snuzzles at bedtime and will cry if she can't find him. Snuzzle No1 ;-) did actually get lost on a shopping trip when Zoe was around two. She was devasted but luckily I managed to buy another of the Playskool retired bunny from Ebay and after a flight from the US Zoe opened the package and was told that someone had found him and posted him back :-)

I decorated this little box for Zoe to keep her special keepsakes in. Snuzzle Love is coloured with Prismacolor papers with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. The beads were my bargain find and were about 25p for a few hundred from Sainsbury's.


I am so excited as the next stop on the hop is the fabulous girls over at Totally Papercrafts Challenge. I am so excited and can't wait to see their creations today :-)

Wags 'n Whiskers Sneak Peaks Day 2

I am so excited as our 3rd release is tomorrow :-) Today my card features the very sweet image Best Friends Forever by our new artist Cris de Lara. Isn't she adorable with her cute little friend?

My image is coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor and paper stumps to blend. I added a little gem and teeny weeny button to her pocket. The gorgeous papers are a mixture of Imaginisce and Crate Paper. The flowers are shapeabilities with 8mm flat back pearl centers.

A little about my project today... this gorgeous new image by Crissy is called Hey Chickie. This features my little 4 year old Danni. I had made a little something for Zoe which I will be sharing with you Friday so it was only right I made something for Danni too :-) I decorated a Kraft pillow box. I have had the papers some time but I think they are by Pebbles Inc. Danni has been coloured with Prismacolor pencils with sansodor to blend. Don't you just adore her sweet little chickie and found the little chickie button amongst my stash :-)

High Hopes Challenge - Wired!

Our new challenge has just started over at the High Hopes blog and this my talented friend Karen is asking us to use Wire or Metal on our cards or projects. I found these fun wire embellishments in my stash and also added a metal jump ring to attach the sentiment.

The fun little guy on my card today is Bubble Bath Bradley from the new Dustin Pike collection. I coloured Bradley with Prismacolour pencils and added lots of star dust stickles. For a little more texture the 4mm Iridescent pearls looked great as bubbles. The paper was from a book of papers which I picked up ages ago from The Book People. To finish I have added some new 8mm flat back pearls in golden yellow.
