A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 19 "Sketch by Camilla"

Here is my card for our challenge this week at A Spoon Full of Sugar. This week we have a fabulous sketch to follow designed by our very own talented Camilla. Thank you Camilla I had great fun with this sketch and it was just perfect!

I couldn't wait to play with these cute CC Design stamps which were sent in my DT kit from Silly Monkey Crafts. The stamps I have used for this project are part of the CC Designs - Spooky Scenery and Spooky, Spooky, Spooky tinned sets. I have also changed my colouring technique for this card and thought i'd have a little play with my Copic sketch markers and ProMakers. I am so used to using my Prisma Pencils but don't think it turned out too bad eh?

Before I go I just wanted to thank two sweet girls for passing the above cute award to me a couple of days ago. Thank you Sanne and Lolo for brightening my day!

Hugs,

Worrying for nothing!

Here are some pictures I took of the girls this morning.. Danni's first day at nursery. She looked such a dinky in her little uniform. We only had a couple of little tears on initially going in.... but wait for it.... she came out beaming! She loved it and can't wait to go again tomorrow... All my worry and getting upset for nothing! Still makes me feel a little sad though when I think she's only just three and a half.

Have a great Monday and see you tomorrow with my Spoon Full card.

High Hopes Challenge 1

Get ready.. this is going to be a long post! I don't normally post up more than one card in a day but with the launch of the High Hopes Challenge blog TODAY and also the release of the new stamps I was just so excited!

We have a nice easy challenge for you this week. Just make a Birthday creation and include brads in your design!!!

You'll really want to join in this week.....and here's why!!! To celebrate the kickoff of our special blog and the new HH release, Tina is giving away a HUGE prize!! One VERY lucky stamper will randomly be chosen to receive over a DOZEN of the new release stamps!!!! YES!! You read that right!! Isn't Tina generous?? Someone will receive ALL of the new Dragon stamps and coordinating sentiments!! So get out your HH stamps and get inky, girls!!!

Right.. I know you are all going to be desperate to get your hands on the new stamps so rush on over to Silly Monkey Crafts as they have all the new designs in stock NOW!

Here is my creation for the High Hopes Challenge 1. I made a birthday gift folder using the High Hopes stamp "Tink Pickin' Posies". I added some Prima flowers to give the image dimension and used brads for the flower centers. I would like to thank my friend Jakki for this great gift idea.

The stickles have only just dried and I thought you would like to see my first card with two of the stamps from the High Hopes new release today - "Fishing Santa and Christmas Fishes" sentiment. The jolly Santa was just perfect for my FIL's Christmas card as he is fishing mad! The fab papers are from one of my favourite brands Basic Grey and are from the range Figgy Pudding. The base of my card has been made using bazzill. You know my favourite colouring medium is Prismacolor pencils and Silly Monkey Crafts now stock sansodor which is perfect for blending harsh lines.

Have a great Sunday and hope you get chance to play!

I couldn't wait to play with one of my hanglars from the new Fall club kit. Thank you so much to my dear friend for ordering for me. It's been a while since I have had time to join in with Ismaki and this week they have a fabulous sketch by Kiki. I made my corner swirl by using the cuttings left from using the Fiskars punch.

My friend Deb has just called to say that she has just seen our Reader Story in November's Issue 58 of "Cardmaking and Papercraft" Magazine. How exciting and I can't wait to get my copy.
Update: Here is the page from the magazine with my reader story. If you click the picture you can see a larger copy. You can see my card here.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 18 - "So Charming"

Thank you to everyone who entered a card into our challenge last week over at "A Spoon Full of Sugar". It has been so lovely to visit your blogs and see all your wonderful creations.

Our challenge this week is for you to make a card using either - a "charming character" or "charms".

We have a fabulous prize this week (see below) of a CC Design "Wintertime Fun" Stamp kit which has been very kindly donated by Bryony from Silly Monkey Crafts. This cute little set comes in a metal storage tin. Silly Monkey crafts have some great new products in stock including lots of gorgeous CherryArte Papers and CC Design stamps.

For my card this week I have used this cute Penny Black Kitty which was sent to me by Fran - Thank you! You have probably noticed by now that I use lots of images with cats on - cat mad me! Do you like my sentiment which I printed from word? I thought it was so appropriate for this cute character. I would also like to thank Deb for inspiring me and giving me the idea to use the charms as my flower centers. If you like the layout of my card you can find the sketch for it here.

Before I go I would like to thank dear Mumur, Kirsten and Marcea for awarding me with the "One Sweet Blog" award. If you haven't visited these ladies blogs before pop on over.... you will not be disappointed!

I'm taking Danni along to visit the nursery this morning. Some of you may know that she starts on Monday everyday for half a day. Today will be ok as i'm staying with her but I know there will be lots of tears on Monday. My Mum will tell you that at the moment I can't talk about it without blubbing! I really must try and hold my emotions in for Danni's sake.

Have a great week!
